Yeah, pretty interesting. You shouldn't force yourself though, if you don't like it, might as well drop it, otherwise what is the use of watching dramas if it's not for real enjoyment?
He was shown in the first seven episodes as YY's best friend, and he also was Star Jidou. He went to the demon-god war, and YY got poisoned (which almost took his life) while trying to save him.

I have no problem with the ending, my only issue was with the Ashura thing . I feel that it was useless to include…
I was actually glad YY sacrificed because he needed to create another barrier and kill all the evil spirits that were released by the awakening of his Asura power. Before watching the actual ending, I read some people saying he killed himself because he couldn't control his Asura lineage, which for me doesn't really make a lot of sense, even if he's one of the most powerful asuras, because Xuan Ye, his helper, and Hua Qin could clearly control themselves. I think Xuan Ye's ending does show they are not innately bad, but I do agree that they should've elaborate more about Asura's lineage nature (maybe it's corrupted because they got power and life absorbing it from others)
After watching this drama, LLTG and LBDAD are no longer satisfying for me. But after my withdrawal, I'll surely try to retake them since I know both of them are also very good dramas.
So I was doing some crazy thinking about the supposed ending and wanted to point out two weird things: - YY and YD were both using red in the final battle. Red is the color of life in China, so that may be a hint that one day they're going back to life - YD destroyed half of her heart three times for YY, and the number 3 in Chinese (三, pinyin: sān) is usually connected for its similar sound with the word 生 (pinyin: shēng) which means to live or life. So that may also be another hint about their resurrection. I liked the supposed ending we got, but a HE is better for me

Heaven’s dynamic in this drama are somehow different to other dramas I’ve watched. But anyway, YD character is unrestrained and not bond to laws at the beginning, that’s when her character growth comes in. I didn’t find her annoying at the beginning, but if you did, I think that from episodes 5 onwards, this attitude decreases
But really, if you sit down and carefully watch 54-59, everything is extremely good and you’ll understand this supposed ending. But anyway, It seems like Youku is going to gives more episodes
