This is my first time watching a xianxia drama while airing, and it's been an absolute treat. I must seek some time out when part 2 finishes airing to binged watch all the episodes and you know, get more emotionally implicated.
Tao Ziqi and Xuan Xiang absolutely won me over in two episodes for real, I loved them in LaR, and now I loved them here. They'll surely hold the crown to one of the best-supporting couples I've ever watched.

I don't think YY/TZ has ever underestimated YD, at least in terms of power, in Heaven he was the one who recognized her talent when everyone said she was useless. And in the mortal realm, TZ knows she's capable and intelligent, but ofc he was surprised when she won over that fight because she's not supposed to be that powerful due to her health problems. Everyone has got his/her point of view, but YD is one of the greatest and strongest (don't necessarily mean in magic power, though she's actually good at it) FLs I've ever watched, her love for YY, her sister, and her giving a lot to the people around her is part of her generous nature, which doesn't make her weak, and now knowing when to step back, when to start receiving instead of constantly giving is part of her character growth.

I think Cheng Yi's acting is that amazing that you can differenciate really well between XY and YY/TZ, they're extremely different in every aspect from visuals, and expressions to personality and ambitions. As long as they do not a kiss scene, I think I won't feel weird.
