I'm not the biggest fan of the female lead (hope this drama changes my mind!), but the trailer has already stolen my heart. It looks so sweet, painful, and special. I hope this drama will live up to my expectations, especially as I love Cheng Yi's acting a lot.
Well, I finished this drama yesterday, and I just have to say that it's such a masterpiece. The story, the acting, the sets, the battle choreographies, the chemistry, the characters, everything was on point here. It's indeed heavy since both leads suffer a lot through the drama (especially my poor Si Feng), however, it was indeed an extraordinary ride, I kind of regret that I completely ignored it when it came out. First time seeing both lead actors, and they are very talented. Cheng Yi's performance was excellent. I'll definitely keep track of his future works.

I just ended the drama, and I like to believe that they're, in fact, together. But you know, they can't be openly together because Haishi is the empress. I think she visits FJ often and gets to spend some with him, and also, he might give her advice for capital matters. Hopefully, when the little emperor is older enough and takes the throne, Haishi and Shifu can have the kind of life they've been dreaming about. It's an open ending for them, so we, as viewers, get to decide whether their story is a happy ending or not.
i love miles wei and his characters alot. but this show aint it. the problem with me mainly lies with the female…
Opinions are very different: I'm loving their chemistry here, I find the female lead very cute and charming (also loving almost all of her outfits) and on the other hand Unforgettable Love just didn't work out for me (except for Xiaobao ofc), Yiyue pissed me off the whole drama lol. Sad to hear that many people are dropping this drama in China though :(.
I've looking for this episodes for a while and there's not English subs. For some reason, MangoTV didn't add subs to this particular episodes, so the rest of pirate pages don't have subtitles for this episodes neither. At the end, I watched without subs (My Chinese listening skills are not that bad lol), if you're interested you can text me and I can give you a brief resume of the episodes
