And if you don't mind, I just wanted to share some of my thoughts about today episodes xd I was worried about how they'll manage all this kind of "break-up" situation, but I'm happy to say that I'm quite satisfied, the pacing is still great and I love how Ding Xian knows that there's something off with him and sticks to her love for him, she's proactive :3. ML's acting is on point: every time he sees her, he's about to burst into tears. My poor Si Yue is having a tough time, and I understand his feelings. Hope that Si Yue will stop soon pushing her away :3 Looking forward to the next episodes.

I noticed that scene too, my heart fluttered :3 I've related a lot to the FL too, it's actually the first time that I relate this much to a character in a drama. I also have a shy personality, I don't how to say no to people easily, I've gone through similar life situations as her... I feel really connected with her and I'm also loving the male lead a lot.

Same, it's frustrating. But both of you are right, life is like this. Like a rollercoaster, sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down, we hesitate a lot, we are afraid of our feelings, we are not decisive, we create regrets... but in the end what really matters is that we keep going .

Oh, I see. I don’t usually like the episodes when the leads are about to get together (at least in the most part of dramas that I’ve watched), it usually gets draggy, like why are they taking so long? What are they waiting for?
I was actually hoping they would work things out quickly because that’s the dynamic they have shown in this 14 episodes.

Oh no, I was afraid that would happen (T_T my amazing male lead). It looks that I'm going to have a headache next week, hope that's not that bad though. For the time being, I've loved all the episodes and I wish that it wouldn't change.

OMG, I would have hated it if they would have gone with that break-up route. WY come on, why wouldn't you try to clear things before taking action? I dunno I just hate that kind of breakup the most. I actually liked the breakup in the drama, they handled it very well for me. And you're right, I did think that he had some kind of crush on his stepmom in the past, thank u for explaining that.

The "overdone" part, you are right, when I was watching the hospital scene where NQ was talking to his stepmom and WY heard his words and got so mad, I couldn't help but think that she was overreacting. After all her mom said clearly to him and her that they didn't agree with their relationship and WY herself heard her mother implied that NQ's condition will be a BURDEN to her for the rest of her life.
You're right, but you know I just feel like they both owed an apology to the other, I guess that's why they were kinda friendly after the first encounter (When they go out to a restaurant). He did act arrogant, but he did so when WY showed that she " wasn't "paying attention to him at all" (In NQ's own words) it hurt him. And when she was with Wu Yu, he has been always like that xd. The rest of the time he was pretty much the same, that plus the fact (as you said) that WY still loves him, they got back together. Ofc the reasons why a person acts in a wrong way are not a justification for them, at least we can come to relate and understand more the character's feelings and actions.

Totally agree with you, he was kinda the same as before . I do think that they grew up when they were apart, great for their relationship though.

I’m just gonna join the “defending Nian Qin” troop. I don’t know why many people is only blaming NQ for the break-up, it was both fault. They BOTH were going through so much at that moment, can we put in their shoes for once? NQ is not used to receive too much love, he is used to people leaving him behind, that’s why he acted so badly when WY was going home, but didn’t he regret it? He was going to call her, when they had the big fight at the hospital he went right away to look for her when his dad surgery was done. Then we had the final encounter before the break-up, WY said hurtful things to him that she didn’t mean (ofc, for the pain that she was going through ) And she herself admitted it in future episodes. When they meet again, besides the stealing a kiss scene and other stuff, he was still great, no cold at all, he took care of her, pick her up after work, put lights in the street for her… he was pursuing her as she once did too. I really didn’t get the part in the drama when WY said that he was mean before, but come on, after they got together he was a total sweetheart (with his temper too xd). My point is simple, as two imperfect human beings they did commit mistakes, did toxic things and hurt each other, but they worked things out and grew together to be a better version of themselves. (Sorry, if there’s any grammar or spelling mistake, English is not my mother tongue)

Done watching it, loved it. Ye Youning is such a great ML, he went through so much for his loved ones and especially Xia Wen Xi. Totally recommend this drama, it's so good. Sadness, nostalgia, happiness, love, romance, family... everything you can ask for
