Gong Ziyu is too stupid and weak for sword weilder he keep getting played around by the assassins and the assassins…
Gong Ziyu actually surprised me! I think he is very smart! For someone kind, that never had to doubt people and never wanted to be a leader, he's doing much better than I thought he would! Give him some credit! And some credit for the assassins too!!! They are very, very smart at decieving people!!! (and their lives depend on it!). Gong Shang Jue is the one that annoys me. He is said to be strong, and that's it. The only other thing he showed so far (4 episodes) is that he is stubborn and probably narrow minded. I don't know if he is smart, because he hasn't had to solve anything yet, but he has a sharp tongue when it comes to hurt his brother. What annoys me about him is that the reason he has to hate Gong Ziyu, isn't good enough for me. Just makes him look like a bad person. I hope that when they show more about the character, I start to like him. I would like him to either make peace and become friends with Gong Ziyu, or become a great villain! (I think it will probably be the first one)

I'm sorry you felt my comment was offensive. I love xianxia! And everything in it is good to me! I didn't knew you didn't like it and would take it as a bad thing. To me, I wasn't saying that anything was better or worse. It wansn't my intention. Some people could feel your comment as offensive too, as you seem to want to look down upon what you don't love. It would be good if you too could let other people be happy with what they love, without saying it's not at the same level as what you love. Since you don't want the conversation about one story being too similar to the other (it was your first comment, the one I originally replied to), and I didn't left a comment to say what is good and what isn't (it's not my place to tell), I don't see any need to keep talking.

Oh! I've heard of that novel! A friend of mine loves it and told me a bit about it! It does have many of the usual xianxia aspects! But as I've mentioned, the details and how the story is told is what make these genre stories different from eachother! Xianxia is a genre (for tv and literature), despite having romance or not. It usually has cultivation, spiritual powers, immortals, dieties, mortals, "demons", devine/spiritual artefatcs, more than 1 life/incartation (3 lifes story are very common). Doesn't need to have all of those though. But that's what defines the genre! There are tons of amazing xianxia stories! Some funnier, some darker, but many good ones! Once you've seen/read enough of them you will notice the similatities usual to the genre. And you will fall in love with de details of some of those stories! That's what makes them special! As I'm sure that The Husky and His White Cat Shizhun also has! (those special details that make it stand out!)
NOOOOOO WAY. THERE'S NO WAY ONE CAN CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE. THE WRITER OF TILL THE END OF THE MOON MUST HAVE READ…
The more "fantasy" (xianxia) chinese stories I got to know, the more I realised that there are many kinds of stories, stereotypes, mytologies, clichés and other things that are used over and over again. I soon realised that the first ones I got to know and love, weren't as unique as I thought they were. Many times, how the story is told is what sets them appart. I haven't read the novel of Immortality (so I can't compare both) but I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a coincidence. If you get Till the end of the moon and Love Between fairy and devil, there are also many similarities, especially between the 2 main ML. This stereotype of character isn't uncommon. I'm not saying you're wrong! Just saying that some things are very common in these genre of stories! It may be that!
I wish it was the same cast as S1, but personally, I appreciate that they will give continuation/an ending to the story, even if with a differenr cast! I rather have that than nothing!
I'm so pissed that this page is now covering Moon lovers. Because it's a full-fledged tragedy with no chance for…
I think both are tragedies. And I love both for different reasons! Scarlet Heart wouldn't be as amazing without that ending, and Till the end of the moon kind of needed a bit of a more hopefull ending. The complete journey of both stories are very differenr though!

I like their relationship as it is. It's not dreamy romantic but it is gorgeous! All of the relationships in this drama are so beautifull!!! So, in this sense I'm glad we are not taken away by the romance! And there are many interesting female characters to ME, but that seemingly silly girl makes a lot of sense to me to end up being romantically involved with the main character. It's just that... their romance is not supposed to be a big deal for us!!!😆
I really love this show, but I wonder if I'm the only one who doesn't see any chemistry in the main couple. They…
This drama isn't a romance. In my opinion, the lack of romantic chemistry is intentional! The romance could take away people's attention from the main plot! To focus on on the main story and the many relationships that build it, makes sense to "remove" the romantic chemistry! The story of the romance is there, but it doesn't "steal the scene".
Hated the plot and the thing that the FL was just for decoration. Nothing to do with Joy of Life. Actors were…
This drama isn't a romance. So, I think that considering Jiang Ni a FL is questionable. To me, she is a side character like the others. She has her moments, but not "too much", so people are not distracted from the main plot and the other relationships that build up the story.
Sorry I have a question.... I'm at E2 and I wanna know if this show was shot a while while ago or what? Cuz the…
What you are noticing is probably not "old" but "style". As far as I know this drama follows a more classic wuxia/xianxia style. Not only for the visuals, but also for the "rithm" and story. It's intentional. Not to be "stylish", it's actually following an existing style (kind/fype) of story/drama.
I'll just decide not to watch it. TGCF without a Hualian line is worthless to even consider watching it. I can't…
As far as the actors go, they haven't added female characters. They can follow the storyline without much worries for the BL/romance. So, I don't worry they will make changes that will ruin the story. Only if they are really dumb!😑
TGCF can be easily adapted without the romance. The relationship between Xie Lian and Hua Cheng don't need to…
The romance to me is more because the autor likes it and the fanbase likes it too. It's a very small aspect of the story in my oppinion except for the fact that it's absolutely lovely and enjoyable to read! And I don't see why delay the release since it won't be able to have the BL romance anyway. Unless China approves of BL, it will have to be censored. And we don't know when it will happen, if it will happen.😔
I'll just decide not to watch it. TGCF without a Hualian line is worthless to even consider watching it. I can't…
To me, TGCF is much more than only Hualian romance. It says so much about people, humanity, that to make it only about hualian is to ignore at least half of what makes it good! TGCF talks about how important it is to choose to care when no one else seems to care, or seems worth of being cared for. This is shown in the story in many ways, but it's the decisive point to the main plot of the story, and it's what defines Xie Lian! And yes, hualian is a lovely couple! (One of my favorites), but their relationship can be translated to a non BL very easily, and the only thing it will loose is a healthy couple relationship because there won't be a couple. But there will still be a relationship! Respect, admiration, care, love, it can all still be there! Hua Cheng devoted his life to serve his God! He battled the battles he could in the name of his God because that was all he had left to do to serve him! And although he eventually fell in love with that god, he still wanted to serve him, and so he did! And Xie Lian... he's the only God that actually cares for people! That's all this story is about, him caring! Not to save the world, but because all those small acts of kindness that come from the few who care, these are enough to make the whole world worth of being cared for! Because without that we are empty, sad and will only bring more bad things to people. Xie Lian does care for himself! But he cares more for other people, because he treasures whichever kindness they have to give! Because a God can't save anyone if there isn't at least one person willing to be good and kind! That's something more powerfull and precious than anyone! That is GORGEOUS!!! And when Xie Lian understood that, that's when he decided that caring for people was more important than saving them. Don't dismiss everything that this story has to offer just because the LA won't be able to have the romance! (And I believe Hualian will still be the same hualian we know, just without kisses and won't be an official couple)
TGCF can be easily adapted without the romance. The relationship between Xie Lian and Hua Cheng don't need to…
It will only be disappointing if you need the romance to enjoy the story (which mainly isn't a romance, it's a story about 2 very similar people that chose to walk opposite paths, and the weight of the reasons they found to make such choices). Hualian relationship can be there with everything it has that makes it meaningfull! It only won't say that they become a couple (and won't have kisses, etc). But their relationship can be entirely there! The friendship, the trust they have in eachother, the respect and admiration, how they rely on and care for eachother, the love for eachother (friends can love eachother too) etc! All of those can easily be there without having to say that they become a couple! Especially because they can talk about the adoration and devotion HuaCheng has for Xie Lian as his God! And they probably will, otherwise I don't think they would have named it "Eternal Faith". Which to me is a refference of Hua Cheng's faith in Xie Lian as a God. Besides this being very important in the novel, to adapt without the BL this can give all the emotional weight for hualian's relationship! Especially because most worshipers in the story just want the gods to give them things otherwise these gods are good for nothing! But Hua Cheng is a true worshiper! He devoted his life to his god, never asked for anything and all he wanted was to serve his god! That's a powerfull thing! (He eventually became aware that he was also in love with that said god, but he never stopped being a worshiper!)
And don't get me wrong, Hualian became one of my favorite couples of all time! But although I love them as a couple, I think they won't lose their essence or have changes in the way they treat eachother by avoiding the romance on the LA adaption!
Just my own opinion: If dangai drama are really banned and the censorship committee or whatever is banning any…
TGCF can be easily adapted without the romance. The relationship between Xie Lian and Hua Cheng don't need to change at all! It can be exactly the same but as a true friendship and not a romance (love isn't exclusive to couples or romance). That is possible because before being romantically in love with Xie Lian, Hua Cheng adored him as his God! He is devoted to Xie Lian as his God before anything else! (People tend to forget that, even though this is more important to the story than the romance). So, just don't say they end up being a couple, and everything works fine. Their relationship won't change (because romance doesn't change the way they treat eachother) and Hua Cheng will still be Xie Lian's last (and greatest) worshiper! (Remember that you worship gods because you trust in them, not because you're in love with them! A god is sacred and you devote your life to it!)
As far as the censorship goes, I have no idea how it will end.
As long as they keep filming, I'll remain hopeful that one day I'll see this. I just hope that when all is said…
There's one official straight couple in the novel. So they don't have to make up anything since it's already there and it's actually important to the story (not the "romance", but the story of these characters). And there are other 2 male/female pairs that would be good couples, but they aren't. If having a straight couple is a concern for the LA, they have original material to work with!😆 No need to change anything! And they've been filming scenes that have more than I would expect from a censored BL adaption! Like Hua Cheng holding the pearl close to his lips, the scorpion snake scene, HC pretending to have drowned (wich probably won't have fake CPR, but this scene overall could have been removed because it's not that important), etc. Not sure if all of those will make it to the final cut though. But at least bridelian will be there!🤣 And just a final note: there was one filming day where fansites said that Zhang Linghe was calling Zhai Xiaowen "gege" all the time. So we will probably have the "gege" in the drama too! (Saying this because I saw someone mentioning it)
Can anyone tell me in which chapter they get together and their first kiss!?
They talk and know what they feel for eachother (in a really good sequence of events, btw!) close to the end of the story. Right before they enter the kiln. (By the end of the kiln story arc) A lot of things happen after that but it's all fast and leading towards the "final battle", so, they don't really have time to be with eachother. The only thing that changes is that they know. After the "final battle" is when I think they are officially together as a couple! So, only at the end!😆 But don't be disappointed! It's lovely, cute, and feels so natural! And then we have the extra chapters to give us a bit more of that!😊
Can anyone tell me in which chapter they get together and their first kiss!?
It depends on what you consider a kiss!😆 There was first the mouth to mouth due to underwater situation at the beginning of the fetus spirit arc. Then there are tons of "borrowing spiritual powers" whenever needed (I think it started by the end of the arc of the "blue supreme ghost king", and kept happening frequently). Closer to the kiln reopening there's the first "real" kiss (considering the situation, of one not really conscient of his actions and the other mainly trying to help). But the first actuall kiss (intended to be just a kiss, nothing else) is only at the end of the story, the chapter before the last chapter.
I'm not sure of what do you mean by "get together" (english isn't my first language). They becone really close fast! They first develop a true and honest relationship (not as a couple, but as friends). Of course that for the reader there's many cute and "romantic" scenes, but most of those are very subtle for the characters. For half of the story Xie Lian doesn't even notice that there could be more in that!🤣 Even when he does, it doesn't change how he behaves or see the other one. There is one scene more... "hot" 😆 It's the one on the altar table (the one arguably with the first real kiss). Closer to the end of the story they actually talk and know about their feelings for eachother. And they end together!😆 But we see little of that. More of that is told on the extra chapters.
A Novel é maravilhosa!
