for a moment, i forgot chenyan is yanyue's past life. he's a complete different person from the one we know, i wasn't really looking forward to the past life flashbacks knowing how it will end... but seeing chenyan's character made it more interesting 😌

episode 17 was ok, doesn't feel complete? it's like awkwardly cut? we see yanyue about to deal the final blow then it cuts to weizhi's tear. then it cuts to yanyue with huarong... it isn't very satisfying without the whole scene being shown but i think they just want to show us from weizhi's pov. then when weizhi woke up and munan brought her to the house... feels like something is missing, i thought she would be more heartbroken.

i would never fast forward! instead i'm the type to rewind and watch... but confessions are always surprising 😆

not forgetting the heavenly emperor sealed half of his cultivation but still wants him to look for the phoenix...

i'm thinking killing the phoenix was an excuse or it would be easier to use the phoenix's power after she dies

i was glad to see that he has someone by his side, haven't seen him laugh like that 😆

funnily enough, both the guys almost fought with her before too! but are now speaking up for her

tianyao then goes to ask yanhui how he was like before with such a cute expression 🥰🥰 but it hurt to see yanhui enduring the pain while holding his hand...

heavenly emperor is a hypocrite saying that yanyue is only thinking of his own feelings... but the reason why heavenly emperor wants the phoenix was to make himself look younger 😒 weizhi hasn't done anything wrong, making her the villian will only make it worse... and i can't wait for that.

i'm loving all the cute married moments between them, yanyue is open about his feelings even when he has a task to focus on and is supposed to let go of his feelings (usually the ML will hide and stay away but we got some cute moments between them) also all the woodcravings and gifts!! his love language is 🫶🫶 he's so sweet and they could have been happy together. also!!! loving the FL that confesses first. she has always been the direct type 😆 even though it's because she wanted to save him... i will take it as a cute confession scene

i'm really hoping he doesnt actually turn back on her... girl has suffered enough but from the drama trailer it looks like he will stay by her side in the end!

that confession came out of nowhere to save him but i still found it sweet 😅 especially the scene after...

i hope so! i would be so disappointed if yanyue betrays her again. when i saw that he cast a spell to make her sleep, my heart broke for them. and what's the point of killing her over and over again if she's just going to revive again... it's too tragic.

i took down a lot of notes while watching the recent episode that i can't include everything here so i will just summarise my favourite moments 😅🤣

- tianyao repeating what everyone said and shocked chenyi/zhuli when he repeated "i'm gonna be a father" i also find it so cute when yanhui tells chenyi about anything new with tianyao... she looks up to him

- yanhui saying fqs is pregnant and him replying xiange is the one pregnant 🤣🤣🤣

- the celebration dinner!! absolutely love it when the couples are all friends, they are literally one big family. both the guys standing up for yanhui and scolding tianyao HAHAHAH

- yanhui teaching tianyao the wrong thing and looking at her master for help 🙈🙈

it's cute how yanhui goes to chenyi to tell him everything about tianyao hahah he's her new father figure

tragic end for horrible people, good for lingfei saying that she wouldn't suying as her sister

while they speak up for yanhui and telling tianyao to treat her better 🤣 they're like one big family

he must have regreted saving her back then...

yanhui enduring the pain to put the ointment on tianyao's injuries 🥺🥺

when tianyao regains his form and she looked underneath the blanket HAHAHA this is the second time she has seen him like that 👀 and when he kept breathing fire that he ended up coughing smoke reminds me of the earlier episode when he did the same thing 🤣🤣

she mentions that tianyao has died twice. but actually, both of them has already died twice... and looks like yanhui will die again from the trailer? in which ends up getting saved by tianyao which explains the white hair (in the first second of the ending song) what's xianxie without a bit of sacrifice.

putting the other two couples being cute while yanhui is worried about tianyao was a choice. the contrast. but i love how the couples all became friends!

lingfei gets more and more annoying... she's even worse than suying. she's so shocked with the way lingxiao is treating her when she's the one that tried to kill yanhui. saying yanhui is working with the evil dragon and colluded with spirits but she worked with fuyin? what?? she got what she deserved, even suying is turning on her.

i love the scene with yanhui mastering her new powers and getting back at everyone at chenxing mountain (mostly at lingxiao) she only cares about reviving tianyao. and the way she treats both groups of people are so different. she so cold to the ones at chenxing but to qingqiu, she's still her bubbly self. until feng qianshuo scared her and he almost died from her death glare 🤣🤣 these two episodes are a great mix of seriousness and humour.

he's so cute but it was have been so awkward when he was half naked infront of everyone 🤣🤣
