I'M CURIOUS ABOUT THAT TOO and I just rewatched that part. YQ flinched away when the empress held out her hand but she still manages to hold his hands. YQ actually only said, "Mother, that..." before he got interrupted by HE so we will never know what he said since it was never mentioned again. I love the fact that YT brought out YQ playful side that was hidden all these years
After reading some parts of the novel, I would still prefer the drama more. There's no misunderstandings between YQ YT and it also ended on a happy note
