From the comments I am reading I take it that this isn't a happy ever after type romance and more about a toxic relationship that ends badly. Or am I wrong?
I am so glad that I didn't know about the dubbing before I started watching cdramas. That might have kept me from watching one and I would have missed so much. By the time I found out I was hooked on cdramas. I have learned that dubbing on the whole really doesn't bother me I just see it as two actors working together to create one character. That said since I have to read subtitles I don't notice if the voice and mouth movements are in sync. I know that has to be annoying to those who aren't busy reading subtitles. The only time I have really been annoyed was when there was an almost little girl like voice coming from the FL. Eventually I realized that it was being done like that to signify the character was young at the beginning. It allowed them to keep the same actress as the character grew, which I do prefer. Thank you for the article it was a great read!
I am watching Go-Ahead on Viki and noticed just 40 episodes listed but here it list 46. Does anyone know if the Viki version is a cut down version or does Viki just not have the last 6 episodes? Also if the Viki version is a cut down version am I missing any major scenes by watching that version?
Great article! Of the older shows I have only watched Goblin and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim andI am thinking about starting Its Okay to Not Be Okay. For the newer dramas I am watching Doom at Your Service and hope to start My Roommate is a Gumiho.
Great article, I love Hao Du and his complexity . One of my favorite things about The Long Ballad is how the characters grow, how it doesn't seem forced or rushed
To watch this do i have to watch ten miles of peach blossom before this??
I don't think so at all. It is actually rather weird to try and watch this right after TMOPB because while the leads from ELOD are in in TMOPB their story is completely different
I just finished this show and thoroughly enjoyed it . I do wish Yan ChiWu had fallen in love with someone else other than Ji Heng, he is awesome and she was absolutely not. Also this is second time in a couple months I have the actor Yi Daqian play a wonderful character with an unhappyending, I hope in his next costume drama he gets an hea.
The Long Ballad is the best drama of hers ofc. If you need happy ending then try 1. Love Designer 2. Hot Girl…
I am right now on a binge watch of ELOD. For the longest time I couldn't get into it and started and stopped watching it many times until very recently when I started watching it again and it clicked for me. I will check Love Designer out for my next Dilraba watch.
