I do think this twist really highlights how bad Seokryu is at comminicating and this is a problem. Especially if she gets in a relationship with the ML. He grew up with a family that doesnt comminicate and so that is most likely the last thing he wants in a relationship.i think this may be the bumb in their relationship .

I am really hoping that this new development is simply to show how bad her life was and to emphasis that she keeps so much to herself. It also shows maybe why she is so calm around her cheating ex. He was there through her illness, because he was the only one who knew, and I think that is why she is way to lenient with him

I am good with ending because it is the right one for Xao Yao. To finally be with the one person that will pick her forever. Part of me does wish she knew how Xiang Liu felt and all he did for her but that isn't what he wanted for her. His love was selfless, he couldn't choose her and he didn't want her to spend her life in grief for him. As for Cang Xuan, he will always yearn for XaoYao and miss her in his life but he has his kingdom and I think he understands now, thanks to his grandfather, that this is how it has to be.
