Your review is very beautiful. Although I am more critical of this drama, I share almost everything you have written,…
I'm glad you were able to relate to the words I wrote. It's been a year since I finished it but I still take a lot of the heartness of the show with me and it will always have a special place in my heart. I agree with the connection you made with his death and his family's past. It's part of the tragedy to think that even if you do better than the ones before you, you can't really escape their mistakes and will have to carry them with you. This is also a story about bloodlines and how generation after generation the world changes but some things remain the same, I think it's also part of the reason it feels so soulful like it speaks to you in a more grandiose way and reminds you that over time and space you're part of something much bigger and powerful, that's our history.
This drama was a beautiful surprise! The chemistry between the leads was on point, the ost was perfect and the plot kept you on the edge of your seat. I loved the mix between the thriller/action scenes that kept my anxiety levels over the roof and the soothing romance plot that made me feel like I was watching a healing/slice of life drama, I think they intertwined both genres brilliantly. The only downside was the unsatisfying ending, felt rushed and lacking. A lot of questions were left unanswered and characters whose future we never got to see. Even the slow burn romance that was so captivating throughout the episodes was wrapped up in a disappointing way. It's not about the ending itself but how they delivered it, I think they deserved something more epic and remarkable, after waiting for so long. Despite this, it was still a fun and fresh ride and I'm really thankful for all the people involved in the making of the show!
Does anyone know any dramas similar to this one but shorter, I usually watch korean shows only and tho I want to spread out I can't commit to something with so many eps. If you know about web dramas of the same genre please let me know
Heartwarming and heartbreaking, something only korean films know how to pull of. It's a beautiful movie that will make you cry your soul out. Best seen on a rainy day!!
Thanks a lot! and as always your comment is heartwarming.. I'm really glad to hear that you would also wanna try…
When the time comes, you'll be the first to know! About the article, I just read it, and once again I must thank you for your beautiful words, they are truly a gift! It was the most wonderful ride to revisit all those touching stories that made this drama so unforgetable. I love how you captured the connection with the plot and the characters and the meanings intertwined. All that wonder and depth was one of the things that made me fall for this drama in the first place and why I consider it my all time favorite. For that reason your article series really hit close to home and made me go back and feel nostalgic about it but also really joyful and hopeful, a mixed of emotions just like when I finished watching it. Can't wait to see your next work <3
Such inspiring words!! You did a great job (as you always do) in sharing your own path and views. I lovec to know more about your creative process and can really relate to a lot of your initial thoughts. I hope someday I can take the first step as you did and join you on the other side
not sure where you've seen that or exactly what's wrong about it, but as I said in the comment I was looking for recommendations, thankfully i got some help with that
I watched the first season and found it really enjoyable, but I just can't stand Kim Hana, i found all her scenes boring and anoying, I've seen the first ep of this season and looks like they will focus it on her, am I right? please tell me if it's worth it or if I should just let it be and pretend they ended it with 1 season only. If the story is just going to be dragged, and nothing fresh comes along I don't think I can watch it for 20 eps.
I'm new to the webdrama genre, but I think I'll give it a go after watching this one and really liking it, the fact that they are so short is such a plus. Anyone can give me some sugestions on the best ones, that have a similar vibe and amount of fluff?
I have a soft spot for slice of life genre, it holds a special place in my heart. I love the experience of watching a slice of life drama, feeling your body slowing down, your stressful thoughts going way and just feel like you're floating, losing yourself in this world, when you feel so connected with the characters and the their environment, that you forget you're watching a drama and feel like your a part of their lives, their sister, daughter, friend... feeling their emotions and stuggles as your own. I love when that wall between reality and fiction colapses and you can feel a conection as real and deep as it gets. Thank you for this thoughtful article! I have some suggestions you didn't mention but that I absolutely loved. Movies: Little Forest Dramas: when the weather is fine, a piece of your mind, age of youth, hospital playlist

Okay but is it really a horror thing? Because I really love the cast and that makes me want to watch it but I'm…
Give it a go!! I was in the same position a few days ago, but I started it and ended up really loving it! it's more action and a lot of human conections, will make you feel a lot but it's super cool, loved every second!
So thankful for this beautiful article! IONTO is my all time fave kdrama and one of the reasons why is for sure the brilliant and heart wrenching storytelling. The world created by this drama, all these stories and evey single character pierced through my heart and will stay with me for years to come. They managed to speak to our deepest struggles, fears and anxieties, look all these dark thoughts in the eyes and shine a light on these issues, making us feel connected, heard, understood and mostly human. It made us feel a little less lost and I think it actually helped a lot of people with their inner demons without making them feel juged or lectured, with no upper moral hand, but an honest, compassionate and real perspective, Thanks for writting this and take us once again on this memorable journey!
