I came back to see if I had any comments on my post from last week and I can't get to it because there are too many others commenting on here everyday. That means this show is a huge success. My comment was the character Jo Woo needs to see a Psychotherapist. Not a compliant just a comment. For sure this show is a huge success Eventhough I am not enjoying it as much as the 1st season. I'm not enjoying because Jo Woo is not behaving like I think he should. (Because he has issues)
I think Ji Woo has a serious need to see a psychotherapist. I'm not enjoying this season as much as 1 but it is high quality. Maybe even better than season 1 in some aspects. Let's see where it goes.
This is a good series. Granted it is only 15 minutes per episode , I try not to be that picky. All I want is a good story and to be entertained. I have no other predujecies or expectations. Therefore, watch and enjoy!
I'm probably being much harsher on it than I have been on BLs of a similar or worse quality. I think it's partly…
It is frustrating when there is potential for a good series and when there are likeable characters like June King and Non who deserve better fates. I did enjoy your review it was accurate in my opinion.
I just discovered this series and I already want to rewatch episodes. What a great story and Park Seo Ham (JJY) is just unbelievably awesome in this series. Totally believable and likeable as a character who is flawed and knows it and uses it well. Congrats to all this series should win awards including PSH.
Wow, the last 2 episodes were just not needed and really tanked this series for me. Ep 4 was the best and it went down from there . The idea is great. The story with the blond rehab guys was great. The Sam trio story was also good. The story with the guy with the huge 🐓 was good too but they exploited him (unnecessarily naked and frontals) in my opinion which took away from the story. I don't know what to say. I'm all for experimentation and free expression but this series used disturbing visuals for shock value alone in my opinion.
I agree with 95% of your review. I am now a huge Trae fan like you. He should get an award for his performance in this series. I am not a Singto fan and I have to say maybe I was to harsh on him in this series based on your review. Even though acting can be presented thru the eyes and facial expressions I have a believability issue in this series with Singto playing Maze. (I have another comment which is a spoiler so I will leave it for the end.) This series had a lot of great potential with the story line and the casting. The secondary casting was very strong including the females as mentioned above. For me the biggest issues were the story line gaps and inconsistencies. SA: I didn't believe the love that Maze has for Phap through out the entire series and it is seen for me in the ending after they are " " together. The last kiss is awful. They stood so far a part and I thought I saw Trae getting ready to bust out laughing. To me Singto is like ok I'll kiss him and try and make it look real but no body contact. Trae was like this is ridiculous standing so far apart but I have to do it. Maybe my imagination but that's what I felt.
PS Agapi, Thank-you for your information about the novel and other views on pay vs. no pay. I agree promotions , free access and teasers could have been better. I enjoyed reading your review even though it was long. (smile)
Minus Phap's dramatic entrance in the ending of Ep 11, It's obvious that Phap/Trae is the glue that keeps this series together. I do agree the comments here are too harsh. It's not a great series but it has it's good points and it is worth watching.
Yeah, most of the comments below are accurate but it's a BL. Seems like most people know it's a low budget Prod Company so what do you expect? The choppiness in the story is hopefully an editing issue not a filming issue. I hope that gets better. All in all I find it watchable.
I hope Phap goes to Japan and stays there for a long time. I also hope Phap tells Maze to go jump in a lake. Tae who plays Phap is the big winner in this series for me. He is totally convincing and is believable for the lovingly quirky artist. Yes I was taken back by the pet cockroach at first but he (Tae) convinced me of his honorable intentions. I still say ewww but also laugh about it because Tae is so convincing in those scenes. He is really brilliant in his portrayal of Phap in many many scenes. Singto who plays Maze on the other hand is by script supposed to be the unlikeable character but he is unlikeable because of his unacceptable acting in my opinion. I must admit that I am not a big Singto fan. Just having a pretty face doesn't do it for me and he doesn't do it for me here in this series either. Another good area of this series is the supporting cast whom are very strong including the female characters. Yacht as Tharn deserves a special call out too...good acting in many scenes. I do enjoy the series. There are a lot of good things about it. I will miss it when its over. I will also say a season 2 or a series with Tae is doable again mostly because of Tae as Phap and the strong support roles.
I have to say I was soooo excited when I saw this was released. Now I'm so devastated that Hur is not in this season. No disrespect for all of those in season 1 but he has the charisma. I will watch this based on reviews and comments below but it will be a filler not a priority. If there is a season 3 I would love to see Hur back. (As many others have also stated.)
Ep 4. Yeesh, lol… so far episode 3 still remains my favorite.
I understood Ep 4 more completely, but Ep 3 is more powerful even though I didn't understand some parts. Tony speaking to his dad was off the charts. Ian's story about his dad was very real too.
PS .....and funny!
