you're telling me gihun wouldnt have died to save a baby??? did you actually watch this show??? i dont think it was at odds with daeho's death because he was in such a bad headspace then which he came out of only after the scene with geumja (plus daeho chose to be there while the baby was literally a...baby)
i think the show's problem is the stacked cast in S2 after S1's popularity. most ciriticism can be boiled down to "my fav died too early" but if these were random actors, it would've made perfect sense for some of the "good" ones to die early on.
otherwise 100 and VIPs got too much screen time, the hunt for the island was too dragged out, and inho's backstory needed way more screen time.
the sub plot of taeyoon and his mom's divorce triggered my childhood guilt so bad -- guilt at knowing i was the reason my mom stopped working and my parents never divorced. did not expect a tiny part of this series to affect me this much.
