Yh it's so refreshing. I haven't watched that many c dramas. I'm mostly a k drama fan. But for a k drama, this…
I was a pur fan of K-dramas then I discovered historical C-dramas and found them very captivating compared to historical K-dramas when it comes to fantasy, their clothes(I'm not much fan of hanbok) and the visuals, so seeing those things in a k-drama is like a dream comes true
I just finished the first 2 episodes, looks like there is a fight going on here between K-Drama and C-Drama fans while I'm just excited to see this combination as a K-drama fan and lover of historical C-dramas too, this is so refreshing. I may add that the choice for the hairstyle is a bold move, I love it!
I still love to go rewatch FL and ML's scenes( that's what I'm doing now). I watched this drama like a year ago and dropped it after around 39 ep then picked it up again after a while to finish it, and now everytime I miss the main couple I go rewatch their scenes again It's not a top 1 drama for me, but it's definetelly worth to watch plus that the slow romance was exactly what I love to see, I loved how it moved from ep7 to 35, the many concubines thing didn't really bother me as it was normal back then and the ML didn't really choose any of them out of affection, the FL was practecly his first love. It's the first and only time so far that I see 7 in a drama, I loved her acting she has beautiful eyes, I liked WC in "general and I", and his character here felt kind of similar, he fits his role and he has done it very well, I think the casting was fantastic, the age gap and everything was clear and right in place. I must add that the OST was fitting perfectly The thing that I really hated was how they ruined amber's character for me at some point just to drag the drama
Agreed. But at the same time, she's a 45 yr old woman crying about a birthday...
I can understand her though, regardless it being her birthday or not. Expecting a day to go in a perfect way but end up being a big disaster with a disappointment after another, it's kind of hard
Up to ep 33 half of the drama and I still wonder why it's called Legend of FuYao while it's all about WuJi But watching that legendary scene in ep 34, I'll accept the title
I just finished it and my tears along with it, I left the last 3 eps to watch them together and I'm happy that I did, I wish I could give 8 ratings instead of one, to be fair to every story, I'll do that in the comments: order based on my preferences) 8-Han Soo&Eun Hee 2/10 (I really hated this one, I was almost gonna drop the drama because of it, thank God that I didn't) 7-Young Joo&Hyun 4/10 (not the type of story or the message that I'll want to watch) 6-Mi Ran&Eun Hee 5/10 (a decent story about friendship) 5-Ho Shik&In Kwon 7/10 (The scene in prison cell and the scene between In Kwon and his son in ep8 get 10/10 from me that's when I decided not to drop this drama) 4-Dong Seok&Seon Ah 8/10 (Just watching Shin Min Ah and Lee Byung Hun in one story was enough, I didn't expect much, but ended up loving it, Seon Ah's character developpement was great) 3-Choon Hee&Eun Ki 8.5/10 (ep17 turned my eyes to a waterfall) 2-Young Ok&Jung Joon&Young Hee 9/10 (Young Hee was a bless, so happy to see Kim Woo Bin in a drama again he had a great chemistery with Han Ji Min) 1-Ok Dong&Dong Seok 10/10 (A movie that you need to watch, mothers stories are one of my weak spots, they used it so well, seeing Lee Byung Hun and Kim Hyeja's acting was the gem of this drama, they were so good that I can't call it an acting) Lee Jung Eun had was in the 2 weak stories but had more presence than the rest of the cast, she gave us Eun Hee the strong independent woman. My favorite characters that I just loved seeing them in every scene are the two "halmoni"s Ok Dong and Choon Hee what a warm duo! Over all, it's 8.5/10 and I'm sad to give it that rating after watching such a masterpiece in the last 3 episodes, I wished if they took off some weak stories and shrinked it to a 16 episodes drama, it would have been 10/10, it took me 8 episodes just to decide not to drop it, but this drama was unique, special and so real.
I didn't watch penthouse so I can't compare, but I do think that we have 2 MLs here, it's even written in the MDL's cast list, it's just that the ex-lawyer didn't get in "the game" yet, he will get more screen time by then, but if what you mean by "advantage" is that she will fall in love with the ex-lawyer, Nah I don't think so, based on my experties (lol), the FL never falls for a decent character like him, it's obvious that she has started falling for the CEO already, and I wouldn't call the CEO "the villain", it's not like he was the one who destroyed her familly, he is just a pawn she is using to get her revenge and destroy her enemies and him too since he is part of that cheebol familly. Anyway, I just hope that the romance won't be the center instead of the revenge, and I hope she won't get weak because of it.
