A Rom-Com About Survival, Independence, and Choosing the Best You Can
I really enjoyed this drama. People said it had a strong start but then didn't meet their expectations towards the end. However, I enjoyed it all the way to the end because the chemistry between the main leads was so good. Even when the story slowed down or leaned into clichés, I stayed invested because their relationship felt believable and emotionally engaging.
At its core, this story is about a woman in her 30s who’s struggling to find a job while drowning in debt, debts that weren’t even her own, but came from her sister’s husband and her mom’s hospital bills. Despite all of that, she stayed positive and never gave up. Yes, she lied to get the job, but she worked incredibly hard, proved her skills, and became someone her team genuinely relied on. She was capable and talented; it’s just that at that point in her life, this was the only job willing to hire her with no experience and decent pay. Loans weren’t even an option for her, so realistically, what else could she have done? She made the best choice she could in a difficult situation.
What I really appreciated was that she stayed humble until the very end. Even after a rich man fell in love with her, she never bragged or relied on him; she wanted to stay independent and stand on her own feet. That’s why I was really happy with the ending. She truly got what she deserved.
Yes, the middle dragged a bit, and some plot points, especially the villains could’ve been handled better or introduced earlier. But in the end, the villains got what they deserved, the good people won, and the ending was satisfying overall, even if a few questions were left unanswered.
💚This drama is just a rom-com, not a documentary. If you go in expecting realism on every level, you’ll miss the point. Just enjoy the comedy, the romance, the chemistry, and the ride💚
