Totally agree! Her mother definitely uses the wrong methods to teach her, if she approached CSS like her third aunt did, with kindness she would have learned so much already.

There are times when I understand why CSS’s mother is so annoyed and disappointed in her. CSS is very immature and self centered, has no concept of the real world which is not her fault. Of course I imagine that’s the point, to highlight her growth and development.

I honestly wish she would stand up to her mom just a little more, I understand she wants to have a relationship with her, but she sometimes lets her guard down, and her mom has already made it very clear that she dislikes her and is not interested.

Same, with the original I was at the edge of my seat. Also, not sure if it’s just me but these characters don’t stand out much? Specially Tokyo and Nairobi. The original characters just stand out so much, and are unique in even style, here, I hardly noticed them.
