There is a lot to wrap your head around during the first half of the drama's episodes when it comes to keeping track of which timeline/dimension what character is in. For someone looking to jump more directly into the romantic conflicts between the leads, this could make a few impatient and bored with how carefully the writers were laying out the ground work when you are just wanting to get on with the romance.
Also, King Eternal Monarch challenges some prior notions regarding whether meeting yourself in a different timeline is a good or bad thing for the future. They broke the rules so many times on this - it became hard to keep track at times who was where- doing what.
But, I found the second half of the series picked up quite a bit, and many times I was glad that they'd taken the extra time taken to lay out the groundwork of story. (I'd set it aside for about month before I went back, and I am glad I did complete the series.)
And one final thought. When it comes to being the 'king' of the cold shoulder - no one does it better than Lee Min Ho. He was phenomenal in Boys over Flowers.
Some of the series Doesn't have the Perfect Match: title in front of it, which made it confusing as I found that nowhere seemed to provide a clear progression of the series. So, I did some exploring on IQ. If I hadn't searched for the actors - I might have missed them.
The series goes in progression as follows: (not release date - considering the progression, I find the release dates a bit surprising. ) I'm pretty sure we will find another release later as the series leaves us in a cliffhanger.
