Just curious, in which area / years the story take place ? I have the feeling this take place in the late 90's…
First few episodes are set in late 90s . Then there's a leap of 10 years, I think. Then after 8-9 episodes it comes to the present day (2020). PS- I am not so sure about the episode number.
Do you have to watch the first one or is it fine to watch this on its own?
There is no problem watching it first, you can still get the hold of the story. Just there is mention of some characters and incidents that were in first part :)
This was one of the best shows I have watched recently. actually I was hesitating to watch it as I thought it was not good or so but after watching it my mind is totally blown. I actually loved all the characters of this drama. The chemistry between main leads. Their friends were very supportive. I don't know why but I loved Luo tian's character so much. Lu Yiyi and Lin yi xuan were the cutest people of this drama. The pioneer team was full of supportive and mature seniors and friends. The FRIENDSHIPS and BROMANCE in this drama was on another level. The main leads were supportive towards each other's dreams. There were some negative and irritating characters whom ofcourse no one likes. But ofcourse without them this drama would be incomplete. But the best thing was that in the end they all realized what was right and decided the right path. And the last winning match was obviously amazing, I've watched that match countless times and everytime I watch that match , the excitement is on another level. The cast did an amazing job in potraying the characters. I literally loved this one so much.
