I feel sorry for people who dont have enough depth in them to be able to understand and enjoy the art that this piece of work is. The characters are one of the most dynamic I came across and their relationship is so unique, interesting and a pleasure to watch. This is so much more than a creepy obsessive stalker and a tsundere boy that falls for him.
Rape, murder or other terrible things, if it's fiction, what's so terrible about it?Let's not take everything…
yes. people should learn that its just a story. All kinds of things happen in real life, why not accept it in a drama. People can only grow when they can accept things as they are without imposing their opinions on them.
This is exactly what i said when i first watched it. but i looked more into this work and talked to other fans…
So i read this one comment that made me first look more in depth into these characters. It made me rewatch the show, understand the characters better and fall in love with them. I unfortunately did not save whose comment it was because i was just gonna keep it for myself because it touched me. But i want to share it here because you said the same thing as i did when i first finished this drama.
“ This though is kind of the opposite of traditional seme/uke representation. And not every kind of love is the same. Hira loves the Kiyoi who is silent, and beautiful, quiet but also keeps his emotions in until it comes out in violent, desperate bursts. Hira loves worshipping Kiyoi ; he gets gratification from being in absolute awe of Kiyoi, which in a way itself appeals deeply to Kiyoi. Hira's desire sexually, and mentally I believe is never for himself to be satisfied, but the fact that Kiyoi satiates all his needs and desires, while also giving so much more back in return, is what makes him love Kiyoi in an ethereal manner. He wants to serve Kiyoi, he likes it. He loves it. Kiyoi loves Hira, and no one else, simply because of THIS particular/ special love that Hira has for Kiyoi, and I know that Kiyoi understands it on a molecular level. Kiyoi has fans, but he KNOWS that he doesn't want to be loved/admired like that. Because he understands what it is like to be loved on a visceral level. Like, I don't think Kiyoi will ever be able to love anyone else or even trust anyone else as he does Hira. Kiyoi shows the world a more macho personality, while in reality, he wants to be anything but that. With Hira he wants to pout, he wants to be pampered, he wants himself to be loved in absolution and to love back in the same way in return, in a way he can't connect or do with anyone else. Neither of them is a typical personality of the traditional yaoi or BL, and that's why I feel this is such a well-done special story”
The drama was fine and the plot was nice though there could be more than just showing hira's helplessness. I got…
This is exactly what i said when i first watched it. but i looked more into this work and talked to other fans and read discussions and analysis. There is so much more to this than what you understood. I wish i could explain but i am not good with words. Ill find some time to dm you some stuff i read. I am now in absolute love with these characters the way they are and changed my rating from a 7 to 9.5 recently.
yeah I hope he has a good reason for why he left and decided to re-appear after 10 years literally out of no-where.…
Yes you put it better. It just felt like nan saw phu after a small trip away. He was crying all heart tearingly in his video message but the reunion after 10 years was just so disconnected from the plot. I was hoping either a crying out of happiness and relief tight unbreakable long hug or a very angry resentment. I wouldve been fine with either of these two reactions but def not what was in this episode
A series about a thoughtless jerk named Phu, who spent his childhood making eyes at his best friend then abandoned…
yeah I hope he has a good reason for why he left and decided to re-appear after 10 years literally out of no-where. I am loving this so far tho. The quality and acting is good as well as the pacing so far. But for someone who was missing and searching for Phu so hard all these years, that reaction after seeing him back after 10 years was very underwhelming to me. Like I wish they gave Nan's reaction some more of a depth other than handing over his cat in a hurry and a cheek kiss. Also it looks like nothing really changed after 10 years so that was very unrealistic and unconvincing to me and kinda lost me there
Ep 11 [1/4], exactly 1:54 seconds is the BEST sniff kiss I have seen. I felt too endeared by it. and this is coming from someone who finds sniff kisses strange.
