He made several inappropriate comments towards minors, the youngest was aged 13. I watched Moon Embracing the Sun, and during an interview he said that he can't wait for Kim Yoo-jung to mature so she can be partnered with him in a drama. She was 13. Was that Korean age? Because if it's Korean age, it means she was 12. With Kim Sae Ron, he was a groomer, though. And that's even worse because he acted on his fantasies and manipulated a child.
Damn.... People are so mean :( I was enjoying SGNS until I saw these comments. Although I agree the acting is…
I am one of those with the unpopular opinion of liking the Namsoon season better because I don't really enjoy romances. I like stories similar to Uncanny Counter, more action, less romance. And the only romances in Namsoon were actually nice because they were a bit more mature (dealing with realistic relationship issues, like family responsibility and divorce, after the romance wears off). Also personally liked the whole generation of women connection concept, and totally looking forward to another season if they expand on this network of strong women.
Absolutely ridiculous and incredibly poorly acted, a typical american (shit)show. So bad it was laughable, a complete…
Actually, if you've read extensively about the Philippine Elections of 2022, this show seems to have gotten a lot of inspiration from that (even the political party colors, and I can really identify which characters represented a real politician). Even the smallest details of the most obscure piece in history, they were able to pick up and depict here. With some minor embellishments so that they probably won't get sued. So if you thought it was a circus, you've definitely described PH politics (yes, right down to the murdering of allies).
For the most part, I enjoyed this series. There were a lot of elements that really annoyed me or made me angry,…
"MC it’s gays who do the most damage and deserve the most wrath"
While I partially agree with this (the straight people who were also responsible for the damage should also receive their due, ESPECIALLY BUA), I must say that as a bisexual woman myself (whose friends are mostly gay men) I have encountered gay men who are so very vile. A gay friend of mine was framed by another gay person in the workplace, and it was just the most damaging thing I have ever witnessed in my entire life. It took the department almost a decade to flush him out, and only AFTER they realized how many people have been affected by his machinations. They didn't even apologize to my friend. I thought I could only witness something like that in the movies, but nope, that was real life.
Point is: evil knows no gender orientation. Bua and Aey got off pretty lightly, actually, compared to my former workmate. I wish there had been more consequences (like maybe Hin could have been gotten by a different publisher as Bua's punishment).
I saw a comment on this page I didn't really appreciate. I could respond directly, but I wanted to write a new…
Sigh. We need more dramas like CQL and WOH to show censors that we can throw them money so that they'd lighten up. If fans try to pit these dramas against each other, the only thing that will suffer is the industry itself. We can't just watch one drama forever. We need progress.

In the novel, that "treasure" was not considered a treasure by Wen Ke Xing, it was literally thrown away LOL. There were a lot of changes in the drama. Priest's novels don't have the same storylines or plot. Lord Seventh is one of Priest's earlier works so it's rough. If you've read her more recent novels, you'll notice the huge leap in quality.

I actually like Priest's characters more than MXTX's, especially when it comes to their recent works. This novel for this one is older than The Untamed's novel, though, and you can see it in how rough Priest's women's development are. But I'm surprised they're able to develop these characters in the drama (which I didn't care for in the novel) even with the low budget. I heard it's much much much much lower than The Untamed's budget.
Immortality delay airing has nothing to do with WOH. Rumors should not be trusted. Chinese drama will pull out…
I agree. I'm still not over WoH, so I'm hoping for this feeling to last a bit. The irony is that I re-read 2HA/Immortality novel so many times over, while the novel where WoH was based on wasn't even my favorite Priest novel (I liked it's prequel Qi Ye better). I think it's really the actors that made it explosive for me, much in the way The Untamed's cast did.
Don’t believe in fake rumours. They said Winner is king pushed back its airing date to 2022,bcoz it didn’t…
That would be weird if Winner is King needed massive editing. That novel was sooooo MIIILD compared to 2HA/Immortality. Sha Po Lang didn't even have sex scenes, I had to re-read the first time they did it so many times because I didn't realize they did it.
Huh? If you're going to go by source material, Word of Honor's novel is actually older than The Untamed's. -_- (It's the sequel to Qi Ye, where Jing Beiyuan was the protagonist.)
It will take a while before we have dramas over 20min, just be patient and stop complaining about the length,…
I actually like Korean and Japanese BL dramas exactly because of their length. Hahaha. I feel tortured if I'm forced to watch something above 30 minutes in length.
"A good example why I don't like philipins drama"Except that it was co-written and directed by BAFTA awardee Craig…
I don't feel I'm the target demographic. Even though I grew up in the Philippines, I'm usually more interested in martial arts, fantasy/supernatural, and historical politics. Those genres are super rare in PH.
The ones I've actually seen are Encantadia 2005 and 2016, and historical movies like Heneral Luna and Goyo. Even when it comes to BL, I prefer Chinese over PH and TH (unless PH comes up with BL about ancient arnis arts then maybe I'll watch). At least Thailand now has Manner of Death, so it's a step away from juvenile BL romances.
Except that it was co-written and directed by BAFTA awardee Craig Lines, who's an Englishman (you can verify this with IMDB). So that's kind of a weird way to generalize, even if I rarely watch Filipino dramas, too.
Netflix lists this as a Taiwanese movie, probably because it's written and directed by Ho Wi Ding. Production company is Changhe Films, so it's kinda weird to have it listed under one country only.

And honestly, if it was that easy to create another Nanno, she should've been careful with her blood and not let herself get "killed" too often.
