The only fantasy element in the series is the connection between Wayu, Thanu, and Phai. It's related to their destiny. It shows how 'destiny' is not always what people believe it to be. But it hasn't been fully explored yet.

Yes, the plot is totally different. It is neither a continuation nor a part of 2Moons. :)

- Only a few characters have similar (not the same) names with the characters in 2 Moons.

-The confusion has emerged due to the casts like Kim, Copter, and Bas playing as Mark, Kit, and Wayu.

- Yes, it is said that GenY is the fanfic version of 2Moons, but they are not related. The only similarity are the three characters and their educational field.

P.S. It's better not to think they have any relation at all. Because once you start to compare the two series, you won't enjoy it as much as you would otherwise.

It's not sure who Thanu ends up with yet. And no. he isn't playing with them. It is more like Thanu is being played by the universe.

He likes Wayu but had a vision with Phai where they are together, and thus, he has some connection with Phai. However, in the previous episode, he chose Wayu over Phai. Also, he has never really led Phai on.

(But you can also see it otherwise. After all, every person has a different view, likes, and dislikes. The comment section will only make you confused and mislead you from your original opinion. Hehe.
So, if you are watching it, it's better not to read comments first. )

When I saw the pic, my instant thought was 'Pharawee'. But I must be overthinking. Pharawee has this totally bad impression on me, and I could be taking sides here. :p

However, as of now, there are two possibilities.
a) Phai sent it back.to Thanu but Wayu found it.
b) Pharawee somehow got his hands on it and sent it to Wayu.

But, it could be anyone. Hopefully not Padbok.

Tong exchanged the exam sheet of Pok with someone else.
(Maybe he did that because he was worried for Pok)

It turned out that the one he replaced the paper with was of Sandee's.
(He was not aware it was Sandee's paper)

However Sandee thought both Tong and Pok were involved in the exam paper's swapping.

So, he tried to blackmail Pok. But, Tong found out he was being blackmailed first.

And everything that happened in the past few episodes took place.

Long Story Short :
Tong tried to help Pok by doing something that was 'wrong'.
But it was kinda useless because both Sandee and Pok got A in their exam and got selected in the same university.

First and Foremost :::
"Every Single Cast Appeared in this Episode!"

Thanu had premonition of Wayu hurting just like Phai had that of Thanu. I would say they were destined to be in love triangle.

And... That flashback showed it was Thanu who saved Wayu and unknowingly he had fallen for him a long time ago. He had just mistaken his benefactor to be Pharawee.

[ I think it's the same day when Padbok and Thanu had a misunderstanding. ]

After everything that has happened in this episode, are Thanu and Wayu going to separate?


I felt really bad for Phai. But, I would still not blame Thanu.
- What would you do if you know you have fallen for a certain person (A), but there is this another person (B) who you have visions with and feel something that doesn't make sense.
-Thanu never lead Phai on. Instead he said not to think about the vision to him earlier as well.
- However, their eye contact... I don't know what to think right now

And that car!! Someone was in the car looking at Thanu and Wayu being lovey dovey. I guess it was Pharawee.
[ I don't want him back. Not at all. ]

Also the Preview! The white rose was from Thanu, but the bouquet of red roses... well...

Wayu saw Phai's portrait. It's going to be sad episode. Maybe they will separate... But I wish they didn't. Especially after this episode.

Personally, I find chemistry between Thanu and Wayu. Also, they just make sense to me.

[Plus, I really think that Thanu likes Wayu. I can't say for Phai because it's confusing. But, he clearly chose Wayu. It wasn't forced.]

But if they are going to give us open ending or pair Thanu with Phai at the end, I just hope they do justice with the process and the ending.

I was glad to see all the boys. Pok and Tong's story was a good change. We only had a glimpse of Padbok. Maybe we will know about him and Thanu in the last episode.

Gen Y is really going to end. After months of wait, it had finally aired. And now, it's already ending...

- I totally agree with what you said down in the other comment. I can actually understand why Thanu did what he did (not saying he was right). And Wayu isn't spineless. At the very least, it's not been portrayed yet.

- I don't really understand the hate towards a fictional character. And the fight between certain teams.... I almost laughed reading some of the comments. Hehe.

- Also, I didn't know about the promotional activities by Dun-Bas until I read a comment here.
Solely, based on the show, I like a certain 'potential' couple better than the others.

- It's true when you said both side has people who think they are on the losing side. I prefer Wayu-Thanu and Phai-Sandee but can't help thinking the other couple are the endgame.

But again, that's my personal opinion and I would go with whatever the show deliever us.

I mean just because some fans want Harry-Hermione to end up together does not mean writers/directors should change it from Ronmione to Harmione .
(Ok That was a bit out of context... I wanted to use a good example. :p)

- Again, I like the ambiguity as well. That feeling when you want something to happen but then, with time, you are just eager and desperate to know what's the outcome.

- Although the supporting characters do not have much screen time, which is sad, on a positive note, I feel excited to see the casts who haven't appeared in a long time.

-I'm waiting to see how they wrap up the season!!

The plot is not related.

(Four characters from Gen Y have similar names than that of 2Moons (but not same), and the three of the casts are in 2Moons as well.

Also, if you want an unbiased opinion of the show, do not watch 2Moons before Gen Y. :)

The story is completely different. Only a couple of names are similar (but not same).

Though this show is adapted from a fanfiction of the other show, it isn't 2Moons. Some can be confused due to the similarities between the name and the three casts being Kim, Copter and Bas, but if you are watching it, you shouldn't link it with the 2 Moons because the plotline is completely different.

It worked for me well. To me, it's doesn't give 2Moons vibe and maybe because of this, I'm satisfied with the storyline as well. ^_^

Also, in the first teaser of GenY, the trio from SBFIVE were not included. And then, even at the time, when many viewers said that the show wouldn't work, I had decided to give this show a chance. After the new official trailer with Kim-Cop-Bas, people gave attention to the show, which is fine coz I missed them myself.

i.e., if you do not think of it as 2Moons or keep high expectations thinking of the previous show, you will probably enjoy this show as well. Also , if you are here for Kim - Copter, you will love them as Mark-Kit because their story is all fluffy and cute. However, they are not Ming-Krit and Wayu is not Wayo.

Also, there are multiple potential couples and some do not have much screen time. Yet the supporting characters make the story interesting. I would actually say that. the storyline of other characters are more interesting than that of Mark-Kit.

True. Though Klui has appeared very less, he is definitely good and funny. Maybe we will see more of him in following episodes. ^_^

Wayu (in reference to the note) said : You didn't lose it. You just haven't found it yet.

Thanu : Thanks, Wayu, for helping me find it.

Doesn't it feel like, Thanu is thanking Wayu on advance? After all it is because of Wayu that Thanu and Phai finally meet.

The fact that Phai, and Wayu both went and looked at the the same box. It was probably due to the bow sign but the connection is presented creatively.

(Phai is looking at it because he saw that sign in the note while Wayu looked at it because Thanu means bow/archer.)

And I was so glad when Thanu told Wayu his initial reason for being there for Wayu by himself. Wayu must be hurt but at the very least it didn't come from someone else.

Also, Wayu said it himself that at present he sees Thanu for who he is and not because of Pharawee, and those words clearly brought smile on Thanu's face.

Seeing Wayu smile was so good until Thanu confessed. I dreaded this but it is gone and over. Even though it seems Wayu-Thanu has no hope, I really really hope that the writers won't bring Pharawee back. He would rather be happily single than go back to him. Plus, Wayu has moved on from him.

Wayu's face when he said that he hoped Thanu would find the one he's looking for soon.

At the end Thanu looks at his love definition note, then thinks of what Wayu said to him, then goes back to flashback when he met Phai. He seems pretty confused himself.

The conversation between Thanu and Phai, where they wondered if it was something that could happen in the future, a thought crossed my mind.
"What if it happened in their past life?" But, that doesn't seem to be the case.

I can't help but smile at Mark-Kit scenes. In terms of acting, they have been doing better.
Also, I really think Mark and Wayu's friendship is really appreciable. I like all-smiley Wayu a lot.

Oho... Sab is the shining star here. His presence makes the episode fun. I had missed him. And seafood allergy? Seriously? That was a bad excuse, Sab. Hehe. I adore him.

We didn't get to see Padbok though. There are only three episodes left. I wonder if we will know his story with Thanu. Also no Jack-Koh scenes this week.

Seeing Pok-Tong was good. It means they are leading somewhere. At the very least, it is clear Pok likes Tong. And that paper saying Tong cheated on exam... something's brewing for sure.
But what was that in the preview? Pok was hurt and didn't want Tong around. I guess, now that he is hurt, he worries about his admission in sport-science faculty.

And Thanu and Phai have finally met. It was inevitable. But, the vision wasn't confusing at all. It was rather simple.
They fall in love. Something happens and Phai says those words that he said. But, at the end, it seems like they overcame that and Thanu apologizes saying it was his fault. And they get back together.

Also let me quote Wayu's new definition on love.
"To love, is all that matters. Even if it's only one-sided love, I'm just happy to get to love someone."

Thanu's definition on love,
"Love is to find someone who'll make you understand the meaning of it."

[Also, is it just me who thinks Gen Y wouldn't have any more seasons? i.e. of course, if they can cover everything in three episodes.}

I have been waiting for this project ever since it was first announced. And it's finally here!! ♡

Except for your view on 'destiny'. And I'm glad I came across it coz your perspective gives hope to Wayu-Thanu as well.
(After the Preview, I kind of had lost all the hopes for them.)

Though I don't mind Thanu and Phai together, Thanu-Wayu have my heart since the beginning and I support Thanu-Wayu wholeheartedly. :)

Wayu : I'm single now. I can do anything anywhere with anyone however I want.

Thanu : It's useless now. We all know that Wayu still can't get over Pharawee.

Later Wayu saying : Earlier, what you said about me and P'Pha, I want to tell you that... (Jack-Koh interrupted them)

Was Wayu going to tell Thanu that he is over Pha?? I kinda wanted to hear those words from Wayu.

I feel so conflicted.

-Mark's expression when Wayu leaves with Thanu for that dinner,
(Though he teased Wayu-Thanu, he genuinely cares for his best friend. He knows Wayu is falling for Thanu.)

-Thanu looking at the paper where he and Wayu wrote their conversation and smiling sweetly.
Then, turning the page to see the sketch he had drawn of Phai, he gets lost in his thoughts, imagining Phai sitting in front of him.

-Wayu singing a song reminiscing moments spent with Thanu and smiliing the smile that can make one feel giddy or make his/her heart flutter.

- Mark thinking Thanu-Wayu could be together and Kit saying it'd be good if they could end up together, all the while thinking Wayu would be disappointed again.

-Wayu defending Thanu each and every time.

-Kit asking Thanu if he is only taking care of Wayu for Pha and also asking if Wayu misunderstands his actions or if something goes wrong would he take Wayu back?

And Thanu saying he doesn't have right to do that.

-Kit saying he now understands why Pha chose Thanu to take care of Wayu. It's because Pha knew Thanu would not betray Pha.

-Kit mentioning how we cannot control our feelings and Thanu should think it through.

-ThanuWayu almost kissing once again but Mark interrupting.

-Mark thinking Wayu-Thanu are happy while Kit worrying because of the conversation he had with Thanu earlier.

Also the PREWIEW!
Wayu to Thanu : All the things he did was because of P'Pha, right?
And Phai and Thanu are going to meet again.


It's kinda obvious what the show is hinting. Though Phai and Thanu's storyline is slow, the show is going to that direction from the start.
I feel sad for Wayu. Coz I like Wayu-Thanu couple a lot. But, we can't change what has already been decided by writers, right?

But, kudos to Mark and Wayu's friendship. I love how they are there for each other.

Also. Jack and Koh make me laugh every time. They have grown on me.
The scene where Jack carries Wayu was so funny.

My Prediction for what's going to happen next.

-MarkKit have happy ending. Also, they are great.

-Wayu falls in love with Thanu.
- Thanu feels something for Wayu but since he is only taking care of Wayu because Pharawee asked him to, he won't take any further steps.

-Thanu meets Phai (probably next episode) and they discover some stuffs about themselves.
(After all the the third book is titled 'Destiny' which could only mean it's destiny for Thanu and Phai to meet.)

[ To anyone still confused, the third book isn't out yet. The writer had mentioned that the third book would be about the three of them. So, no one knows for sure what is to happen of Wayu Thanu and Phai.]

-Thanu probably has sacrificed a whole lot for Padbok but Padbok isn't aware of it. Yet.

-Pharawee may or may not come back with some great or lame excuses. (I don't want him back.)

At this point other couples are not shown much. So, let's say Jew-Yuki , Pok-Tong will probably get together by the end.

P.S. Even though I know where the story is being directed towards, I still want Wayu-Thanu to be the endgame. Hehe.

Watched episode 6 today. And it was heartbreaking!
I feel bad for Mark-Kit. But, I understand both of them. I think the time and the place was just wrong.

Wayu made my heart ache even more. I'm so proud of Bas. I can see how far he has come as an actor. The sadness he portrayed today is indescribable. Same goes for Kim and Copter.

The storyline of Phai and Thanu will be interesting to see. It's kinda obvious they are the other couple. The sketch made by Thanu. Phai questioning Sandee about 'destiny' and them thinking about each other most of the time.

(But, I really wanted Wayu-Thanu to be the endgame. Also Phai-Sandee would have been good together.)

That reminds me of the Preview! Has anyone else seen it? I'm sure the kiss won't happen.
But, they are just giving me hopes for Wayu-Thanu, when we know they are not going to end up together.

And I'm so curious to know why Pha broke up with Wayu and why he left everyone behind! As much I dislike him (and don't want him back, especially after this episode), I'm sure if the writers have plans to bring him back, Pha will likely have some 'perfect' excuse for himself.
(But, even so, I'm still Team Wayu-Thanu)

We didn't get to see Padbok, Jew-Yuki, Pok-Tong today.

However the boy 'Klui' was a new face. And, he was funny.
Also, Jack-Koh were entertaining. They are so going to end up together.

So, it's been 6 episodes, most of my predictions I made in early episodes seem to be correct. (Except for the two couples, Wayu-Thanu, Phai- Sandee)

Others were: Mark-Kit, Padbok-Sab. Jew-Yuki, Pok-Tong, and Jack-Koh.

Also, is it true that this series will have two more seasons?
Or is it just some confusion due to the book which was divided in 3 parts.
