I think the King and Jang Gang's assistant devised it to kill Naku's parents. Naku had powers from the beginning. They plotted for her to see this she would develop hatred for the 4 families. All 4 seasons and Naku are going to have to face their differences (love triangles and realizations) and unite to fight something very evil. Winter (Uk) being the most powerful of the 4.

Another thing that came to mind is the King we saw in episone 2 could be the old king's brother as this King seemed weak in spirit easily manipulated. The prince also seems older than Uk.

Naksu's teacher or leader of the assasin's is Jang Uk's father. I suspect his disappearance was not a coincidence either. The house mistress is protective of Uk and she knows a lot. She does not trust the Magers and you can see that in her demeanor. The leader of the assasins may have killed Uk's father. The King went back to his old body but wanted to claim the ownership of the son also the wife (Uk's mother). At the time of conception the King who is evil wrote that note to lay claim to both as well as play with Jang Gang's mind.

Remember Jang Gang did the sealing to change Uk's fate. I suspect to stop the King from claiming his illegitimate son and use themost powerful magical power that came through his blood line perhaps mixed with the evil King's spirit. A king during that period had the right to take any wife he chose. She would never be queen but become one of his concubines. So my opinion is Jang Gang did not want the Uk to be manipulated by the King, Without these powers he would be useless to the King. jang gang left his wealth and territorial power so Uk would be safe and did this binding spell infront of the other Magers so they would never open his spirit and watch over Uk. It should be noted also that Uk's mother may also have been a Mager. One thing is for sure in my mind, the deceptive King and Jang Gang's assistant worked together to devise the switching and conception of Uk. The King was jealous of Jang Gang having the prettiest wife in all the land and perhaps also his magical power and his respect in the land.

The King got younger and healthier if you see him at the court when he was handing over power to the leader of the assassins. Obviously a teen quick drama that you just watch on your phone like a webtoon. A lot will be left out and tied to other social media, here, it was tiktok. First time seeing this media usage though. I did not want to go to tiktok and accepted the 'missing parts/updates' and honetly did not miss anything. Now the drama itself was good. I anjoyed it to just clear my mind and dang a happy end. True. all the men except the villan looked a like mainly from build and hairstyle so it was little confusing at first. I see the issues they addressed in the drama and some were well handled, others were poorly. But that is life. I recommend this drama for a light focus.
