I will keep saying it, don't be trusting all these comments. Only a few will say the truth and give honest reviews. You can't just watch up to 5 episodes and call it trash or worse. The amount of dramas I could have dropped if I had followed the comments, I always choose to decide for myself and watch the drama but at the end of the day I find myself loving the drama. FYI the most rated drama are usually the bad ones, people rush to rate or watch it because of the leading couple, if it's their favourite couple then it's good and also if the leads be it male or female ain't pretty to their standard then it's a bad drama for them. This drama is really good, it has everything you wished for in a drama, I'm glad that I gave it a go as usual whenever I see comments. Hope people will give this drama a chance and not let other people opinions spoil something you will like or enjoy.
Super love this drama, honestlyi cried not because of the drama but because of the song, the lyrics got to me. I wonder how they came up with lyrics to match the plot of the drama. And the protagonist isn't the female lead but the male lead, I honestly thought it was all about Shanggu but towards the end I came to the realisation that it was all about Baijue, and if you watch the end with the waiting for his return and all, you will also understand it. I was angry at the beginning because all of them were just protecting her and making decisions for her when she was obviously the most powerful one of them all, they didn't allow her to show her full potential but just kept her in a bubble all because of love, so I was angry at all the male in the drama and the most stupid one of them all is the heavenly emperor, he got off easily for my liking. So for me this drama is special and I love it. Been a while that I was so invested in a drama because L&R really ruined me for a long time, couldn't focus on any other drama until this ALP. Kudos to all the casts, both the MAINs and SUPPORTING casts. 10/10

Took me 2 weeks to finish this drama, i was exhausted and fell asleep a lot during the period of watching it. I honestly don't know the role of Zitan in the drama because his role was useless and unnecessary. Gave it 8 because of the costumes, the queen mother and the male lead. Can as well say female lead role was unnecessary as well,she wasn'tdominant enough. Drama should've been called The Rebels Princess because all the men who rebelled were in love with her.

So to my understanding, Awu mother is the sister of the emperor, the princes are her cousins so why are they all insisting on marrying her including she that want to marry her second Prince cousin. Isn't it incest?
Having put it off to watch, i finally finished it today. XuanJi was the most pitiful character in this drama, she lost a lot. People might think she was too naive or stupid but i actually disagree with y'all. She was beytrayed and used by someone she actually respected. She is so strong that i actually found myself comforting her, she needed guidance but was manipulated,except Sifeng she was used by everyone else and that shows how strong she is. Sifeng suffered as well which shows his love was selfless and pure, he actually places others before him as it was shown continously, people saying he lied to XuanJi continously, i don't think he ever lied(keeping his origin a secret wasn't a lie if he did already decidedto tell her),he never did lied to her, everything he did were all seen by everyone but was misunderstood. XuanJi and SiFeng both suffered greatly and were hurt by someone they both thought was righteous so i find both of them pitiful. Wutong had a chance to redeem himself but he was to far gone, in the beginning i was expecting him and linglong to fall in love because of how great their chemistry was, he hurt himself by his own actions and didn't handle it well so he went off the rack,he was just looking for love and friendship but he didn't know how to make it happen. He would have made great friends with them had he not gone off the track. I actually pity him as well because all he wanted was acceptance and love. All the demons were actually pitiful and i don't think i can call them villians because they honestly aren't and even the vice Palace lord had no fault as well,they were hurt and being discriminated because of who they were. Funny how the villian King Bailing had the best of everything after all the atrocities he committed, his part was the only part i find disappointing. His character is devious so I'm not even going to talk about him. All in all Love and Redemption is a must watch drama.
