It's basically a special appearance thing. That actor played lead role in another BL directed by the same director. He is famous. That's the reason he was showed like that. Same is the case of the character Alex and many more.
How is it possible that the KYG has made LY such a successful company and is totally unaware regarding the deeds his wife and in-law are upto. How naive of him!! he makes me want to slap some sense into him.

It has nothing to do with her reading the source material or not. The series was downplayed the whole VegasPete relationship and the book has a more detailed insight of their relationship. I'm not suggesting her to read the book, just answering her as to why people following VegasPete so much.
The novel is just them doing the deed and the pregnancy thing. And Big having insecurities.
