ʜɪꜱᴛᴏʀʏ: I started watching K-dramas in 2020 during the lockdown. My best friend intoduced me to some amazing dramas, but the drama that really captured my interest and got me hooked on dramas was Crash Landing on You. Since then, there's been no turning back. ᴘʀᴇꜰᴇʀᴇɴᴄᴇꜱ: I mostly watch Korean and Chinese dramas, but I occasionally check out some other asian dramas if they're getting good ratings while airing. My favorite genres are romance, comedy, supernatural, thriller, and action. ʟɪᴋᴇꜱ:I love strong characters who are well-written, and character development is a must for me. I might indulge in some trashy dramas every now and then to lift up my mood, but for the most part, I prefer dramas with strong female leads who are independent and can stand their ground no matter what it takes. ᴅɪꜱʟɪᴋᴇꜱ: I can't watch any drama with characters that have toddler-like voices, especially female leads, as they irritate me. I dislike dramas where one of the main leads does not reciprocate the same level of intimacy, as it often makes the chemistry feel contrived. Good casting is very important because sometimes actors put too much of their own personality into their characters, which can detract from the show when it's unnecessary. Additionally, poor communication and frequent misunderstandings throughout most of the episodes are a definite turn-off for me. ᴛʀᴏᴘᴇꜱ:I can enjoy any trope as long as it aligns with my likes. However, my favorite tropes are enemies to lovers, contract marriage, and big age gaps between leads. ᴅʀᴏᴘᴘɪɴɢ ᴘᴏʟɪᴄʏ: I drop dramas more often than I admit. If a drama doesn't manage to hook me within the first 2-3 episodes (and I'm being generous here), I'll drop it immediately without any regrets. ꜰʀɪᴇɴᴅ ʀᴇQᴜᴇꜱᴛꜱ:I usually accept friend requests, so feel free to message me if you'd like to chat. I try to stay active, and my inbox is always open to kind people. However, I will not tolerate any insults or hate. |
