This was a total disappointment. I love Go Ahead. I have watched it so many times. Most Chinese dramas can’t bring out the emotions in you like most Korean dramas do.
Episode 1 was going great. I thought this would be a good remake. But after 2nd episode it went downhill. In go ahead we can see how much importance a mother has in everyone’s life. Especially in the female lead’s life.
But this remake has not even a single scene of that.
I couldn’t see their siblings bond. We can see from the start that Juwon is biased towards Sanha. In go ahead both the male leads had each other's back when they were young. There were no unnecessary fights. The pain of being abandoned by their mother was understood by them. But here haejun was always fighting with Sanha.
I don’t like that.
The birthday scene where the aunt spoke nonsense and the father took a stand for the second lead was so perfectly portrayed in Go Ahead. But here it was not good.
I couldn’t understand Sanha’s mother's character as well. And according to me she never felt sorry for what she did. It was in the last episode where she cried when Sanha told her about his wounds. But I was accepting a sincere apology.
In 16 episodes they could have covered a lot of details from the original one but they didn’t.
I wanted more of Sanha’s trauma. When the female lead got to know about what he has been through I wanted more of that.
The writing of this drama is sometimes so lacking.

One thing I liked most about this drama is how amazingly the kids did their job in the first episodes, especially Sanha’s and Juwon’s Kid version.

Kids always pay for adults' mistakes

My review will be all over the place just like this drama.

Everyone is trapped in their own prison and they only freed themselves in the very last 30 minutes.

This drama started great. No sugar coating, just the reality of this industry(at least for a few episodes) then it was about revenge for 2-3 episodes and then the story-wrapping time came.

IN ORDER FOR SOMEONE TO FLY, SOMEONE ELSE MUST EMBRACE THEM. Kang Su Hyeon only said this but her actions said otherwise.

Yoo Jin Woo-
I think they mostly focused on Yoo Jin Woo’s past. I wanted to see more of his career. Character development and how he overcame from harming himself to loving himself. Starting was bang on and the plot was so good. This drama could’ve been on my top list but after episode 5 it lost its charm. The writing was all over the place. When he said CEO please don’t abandon me, my heart cried. It broke into a million pieces. It was like he barely came in episodes after entering TA Entertainment.

Kang Su Hyeon- I did understand this character a little bit in the beginning. She was doing everything because she felt guilty towards her son. Then she gave hope to Yoo Jin Woo and used him and sold him. She knew his past. She knew what he could do to himself. She was selfish till the end. Did she think her son would be proud of her after knowing that she sold his friend for that factory?

Chris- I wanted to see more of this character. Why did Kang Su Hyeon let him leave the company? At first, I thought he was only keeping Yoo Jin Woo by his side to remind himself that it is okay to give up on your dream but then it was all to protect him from this industry. But making an underage work in a nightclub was also wrong.

This drama is about the music industry but the OST was mediocre. It could’ve been so much better.
I still don’t know what message they wanted to give and what was the conclusion of this series. Revenge? Yoo Jin Woo’s singing? Shim Jin Woo’s dream? Where is it?
They started everything but they didn’t know how to wrap every character’s story.

“I create opportunities even in hellish situations.”

If you have decided to watch this series just watch it with one thought this is pure comedy with amazingly done action scenes which have nothing to do with realism. Then you’ll find this drama fun.
I have not read Manhwa so my review will only be for this show.

What I like-
1. Choosing Rap OST for this drama was such a great move. Specifically the Back Packer song. I loved it.
2. The depth of each character of the study group was shown so nicely.
3. The action scenes are amazing and knowing the fact that Hwang Min Hyun did most of the stunts by himself makes it more impressive.
4. The fight choreography is amazing. The visuals are amazing.
5. In my opinion, this series has shown the best character development.
6. At first, I thought this was another Weak Hero Class 1 but it was much much more than that.
7. The friendships in this drama are just amazing. The bond they share with each other and the teacher makes this drama praiseworthy. The level of trust they had in each other even in the most difficult situations makes this drama more special.
8. Ga Min’s mom stole the show, even in just a few minutes. Now we know why Ga Min fights so well. It's in his blood. He gets it from his mother.

What I didn't like-
1. The pacing of the drama started great but it went mediocre in the middle.
2. Everything revolved around Ga Min so much that it felt weird in later episodes.
3. Pi Han Wool was the villain but he did something big only in the last two episodes. The depth they showed for study group members I wanted that same thing for Han Wool as well.
4. Lack of Seon Yeop’s screen time. I never read Manhwa so I thought he was the villain because of his sudden appearances at the right place right time. He was a complex character in my opinion.

Some of my favorite quotes from this drama-

“The moment a person stops learning, their life stops too.”

“I create opportunities even in hellish situations.”

“It doesn't have to be a great victory. What comforts you from losing isn't the perfect score test result… one circle is enough.”

“To steal someone’s time, you don't threaten them. You ask for understanding.”

All in all, the story and plot are very predictable like any other K-drama but it's fun to watch. This drama had everything… comedy, amazing cast, banger OST, clap-worthy action scenes, friendships that you will envy to have in real life, best character developments… you just name it.

Why did I not watch this sooner?!!

WHAT I LIKE-

Everything about this drama is amazing. Writing, Casting, acting, visual effects, martial arts, superpowers, friendships, suspense, comedy.
What more can someone want to watch? It is truly a remarkable drama with no flaws. Though I haven't watched the anime or read the Manhwa.
The way this series integrates modern technology, humour, ancient fantasy themes, fashion, serious talks and fights is amazing.
Every character is great but I want to review my favourites-

Wang Ye-
I don't know why but I love these kinds of characters. Lazy but super smart like Shikamaru from Naruto. He got the power of one of the eight Supremes very smartly. He was strong-minded. And learning that technique he knew he would have so much responsibility but he never ran and never became greedy. He accepted what was given to him. He wanted Chulan to never discover the truth but also gave him the freedom to choose. His friendships with Baobao, Chulan and Zhuge Qing are so pure even if he knew Qing had ulterior motives to approach him but never said anything. Wang Ye’s character was meant for Neo Hou. For me, I can't see anyone playing this character better than him.

Feng Baobao-
What a cutie she is. I just fell in love with this character. How amazing it would be if I had a friend like her. So innocent and pure cannot even lie. You have to be patient to know the stories of the characters. They will show you bit by bit. Her story for me was so touching. I felt so bad for her when I came to know about the memories and other stuff. The way she didn't move and got shot by the arrow because Chulan told her to stand there. No words will be enough for this character. It’s like I have got attached to this character now and whatever wrong comes to her it affects my emotions.

Zhang Chulan-
He is smart and cunning. In the beginning, he might seem stupid but that is just a mask he wears to fool people. I wanted to see more of his powers but I think his true powers will come in upcoming seasons. He collects friends like Pokemon. Another favourite character of mine. The comedic timing is so good. His chemistry with Baobao is so good from being a slave to being her protector. He came a long way. The journey is beautiful.

Liang-
Villains are not born they are made. Lyu Liang’s grandfather's greed made his whole clan like that. They deserved everything that happened to them. His grandfather was a horrible person and his older brother was as well. Just because he knew the secret of Double Quan Palm technique he cut off his limbs. I mean how can a family do that? The techniques they were using were someone else’s to begin with. I felt so bad for Liang.

Chief Celestial Taoist-
Why is he so cute? His red sneakers have become a statement. The way he took revenge for his best friend( Master Tian) is so good to watch. I never expected that he would actually kill Gong Qing. And his powers and fights were amazing. Just watch the series.

Fights which I liked-
1. ZGQ vs WY: As I mentioned earlier Wang Ye is smart and the actual powers of his eight Supremes came to light in this fight. He just wanted to stop Chulan and for that, he had to win Zhuge Qing. If ZGQ was fighting any other person he could easily win because he is powerful on his own. The way things turned out in this match was unexpected.
2. Chulan and Baobao- There was nothing but everything in this match. Pure comedy and friendship. I laughed so hard in this episode.
3. Chulan and Lingyu- To lingyu the fight was to win because he couldn’t accept the fact that he could not use yang energy but to Chulan it was the way to the truth for him and Baobao. Most people think it is unfair to lingyu that his master drugged him(though I think he lied so that Lingyu wouldn’t take the failure to heart)but in fact, he did that to help him. He has been practicing all his life while Chulan only came out to the outside world a month ago. And remind you the power is still sealed and despite that he won is amazing. Because of him, Lingyu has finally accepted his yin energy and basically his true self which he was too ashamed to accept.

You have to keep watching it to understand everything. I was amazed at how things came to light little by little. We can only put theories while watching episodes but the real thing will be far from expected. This drama was full of twists, the twists which only made sense when the series ended. Little pieces made the truth so unexpected.

WHAT I DON’T LIKE-
Nothing. Everything about this drama is perfect. Just go for it.

One time watch!!!!!

What I like-
2024 brought me back to watching kdramas. This drama doesn't have a unique story; its plot is simple and easy to guess. However, the way the story developed kept me engaged. You sense the hatred from the beginning, but the reasons behind it remained a mystery until episode seven.
The younger cast was impressive. They could easily carry their own short series, especially the main leads. I disliked Ji Hye for her actions, but she eventually realized her mistakes and showed growth, which was in the last two episodes.
The comedy hit the mark, and all the side characters had good stories too. The second lead was a sweetheart from the beginning and remained like that even after being rejected. The original soundtrack was really great.

What I don’t like-
The cast for Seok Ji Won’s Dad felt a bit too old. In some scenes, he looked as if he could be the same age as Yoon Ji Won’s grandfather.
When Seok Ji won saved Yoon on the rooftop, he chose not to clear the misunderstandings even though he knew what she was going through. It's not fair to blame Ji Hye for everything. But I wouldn't want a friend like that in my life after knowing all the backstory.
They both could clear those misunderstandings but acted like children.
The female lead's outfits during the pre-wedding shoot missed the mark. If they wanted a small-town vibe, there were better choices available.
I really wished the main leads would have a conversation about not abandoning each other. She was at Namsan, while he was right outside her house. A good 15-minute talk would have made me understand them more.

I would have given it a perfect 10 if the younger ones carried the whole show. Definitely not his(JJH) best one.

What I like-
1. The whole Macau vibe and the OST were just perfect. I think one of the best I have heard.
2. The beauty of this drama is on another level. The sunsets, night views, the scenic views are just perfect. It felt like I was really in Macau while watching this drama.
3. All the stories were developed separately. Not focusing on a single individual at a time but focusing on every character simultaneously was a great idea. I really enjoyed the first 8 episodes.
4. A little sneak peek of their childhood and careers through photos was such a good idea. They did not waste time to explain all that just the things which were beneficial for the plot.
5. Oh, I love Sunny Sun’s character in this. He was such a soft-spoken man. I was literally smiling all the way through 8 episodes.
6. One of my favorite characters would be Le’s Mom. I mean the unity she holds in the family. The advice she gives. She was just perfect.
7. The purest relationship would be Casey’s and Mark’s. They were healing each other throughout the series. She became a friend, a supporter, and a mother figure which he never had and he became the inner child that she never got to heal.

What I don’t like-
1. It fell flat after episode 8. Too many side characters got introduced and they took the other half of the series. It was like the main leads became side characters in the later parts. I didn't mind seeing other characters getting introduced but I wanted to see the main leads as well.
2. I never got to see Le and Ariel as a couple. I wanted to see their chemistry.
3. I didn't like the abrupt ending. I wanted to know if she really came for him this time and was ready for a relationship or not

All in all, this was a very light and heartwarming drama with deep conversations about life and a reality check for a lot of people.

“Nothing can bind me. It’s just a cage. I’ll dismantle it.”

Pros-
1. Luo Ling Yu-
She is confident, clever, witty, independent and highly optimistic. She knows what she wants and can do anything to achieve that. My girl only wanted freedom for herself and her sister. Some might think she's cold, but I liked that about her. After her parents died, she could only rely on herself even after living with her so-called Aunt and Uncle.
Despite her past, she stayed true to herself. She also raised her little sister with those same values. She bows to no one, but would give her life for her sister in a heartbeat. Their bond is amazing. Her friendships with Yang Ling, Princess Tang, and Prince Heng Yang are the best. Each friendship is unique and they always help her when she needs it.
From having no one to rely on to being surrounded by the most protective people. She came a long way!

2. Lu Yun-
He is such a sweetheart and a green flag. His protectiveness and jealousy both are very cute. He's the type who would do anything for you if he wanted to.
Ling Yu and Lu Yun both lost their parents. But, she never had a loving family like he did afterwards. She only had herself and her little sister. That's why she does not ask for help. Lu Yun is ready to risk it all for her, even if she denies his help a thousand times.
He slowly fell in love with her kindness.

Their chemistry was the most beautiful part. It is not like other cliche romance dramas. Their cute fights will make you fall in love with them. Despite having issues with each other, they will do anything to protect each other when the situation calls for it.
Her chasing him not knowing his real identity in the first half and him chasing her after knowing everything about her in the second half was just so beautifully shown.

3. Prince Heng Yang-
He is funny, smart, charming, kind and protective. Another green flag. I really wanted him to end up with someone in the end, but it didn't happen.
The bromance was so good. Him getting jealous over a nickname was so adorable.
He has become one of my favorite second leads. His excitement and happiness over little things were so cute!
The friendship dynamics of this drama are very good.

4. Luo Yun Hua(Little sister)
She is so cute and kind. She may be small, but she's wise. Big sister has nurtured her with love. I can totally see the good upbringing. I love how she does everything her sister says but If she feels something is wrong then she will definitely not be afraid to speak about it. She gets the boldness from her big sister. I truly admire their bond. She stole the show for me.

5. Fan Qing Chen-
He played a very good villain. He made me want to slap him in the second episode only. I hated him so much for his actions but I loved the writing of this character. I love how they just made him obsessed with her rather than giving it the same old reason that I see in most of the dramas. He just wanted her as a possession. Nothing more nothing less. He still creeps me out. And that's how I know that the actor nailed the role.

6. Another good thing about this drama which makes it to so special is the side characters of this drama. All the women in this drama were strong in their own way. This is the first drama in which I have seen Prince and Princess in positive roles. Each character had important roles to fulfil individually. I really liked Prince Changyi and Yang Ling’s love story.

Cons-
1. The last few episodes were rushed. They could have shown the war better. Maybe they could have made another season, like Love Like the Galaxy.
2. The plot got repetitive after a few episodes.
3. The physical intimacy wasn't great!

One of my favorite quotes from the drama-

“If good deeds are forced, they become burdens.”

Despite having its own flaws, this drama aced in a light-hearted rom-com. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, yes.

A long filler episode which gets better and better!!!

These are just my opinions. I haven't seen the anime that this live-action is based on, and I haven't read the Manhwa. So please, no harsh judgments.

I read reviews that this season is not as good as season 1. To some extent it is true but if you watch it as a long filler episode, it will be fun to watch at least I did that and liked it. This season was important to be this detailed so that the viewers could relate to upcoming seasons better.
Sure this season started slow and the comedy is nowhere compared to season one but I still liked this season. They introduced us to new amazing characters. It was more on the serious side because now the enemies are strong.

Chen Duo-
My favorite character this season is Chen Duo. She went from being a villain in the first episode to the cutest, most innocent person ever. This season truly focused on her, making her the center of the story. I didn't want her to die like that. Throughout her life, she never had choices, and the only choice she made was to end her life. That was heartbreaking for me, but it also brought her happiness because she was finally free. I loved how she perished in beautiful colors instead of just black; it added a deep meaning. Although she seemed innocent, she learned quickly about language and emotions. This quick learning set her apart from Baobao. I thought this season would not be good as compared to season 1 but it gets better and better. The whole 12th episode was beautiful for me.

Zhang Chulan-
Zhang Chulan in this season was way too smart. Temporary workers were all following his plans and the irony is they thought they were moving on their own. I just loved him being all strategised. He had to be ruthless, smart and cunning for Baobao because now he has to save her from the world like an entire outsiders. There are so many outsiders who are more powerful and experienced than him. He doesn't want another Jiashen calamity that's why he had to take charge not only for himself but for Baobao as well.

Baobao-
She took a backseat this season. But her comedic timing is still perfect. We are forgetting that Baobao has lost her memories again even though Chulan has told her about the past but the experience when she came from nowhere to that end valley scene is quite big like almost more than 40 years. So how can we expect her to be smart? But she still amazed me. I am excited to see what happens to her character in the upcoming season.

Wang Ye-
Even if he came for a few moments the impact was quite big whether it was for Zhuge Qing or Ma Xianhong. That few minutes of the fight, when he came to break the magic weapon, was so good. My reaction was the same as other temporary workers. Just amazed. Neo Hou never ceases to amaze me.

Zhuge Qing-
I am a little disappointed that they changed the actor. In the beginning, I couldn't connect to him, like in emotions or his reasons for doing certain things. His inferiority increased this season and MXH took advantage of that. But in the end, he came around. It would be a headache if he truly sided with Ma Xianhong.

OTHER TEMPORARY WORKERS-
My favourites were Xiao and Qi-
Xiao might seem very merciless but he is a softie at heart. He was like a coconut. He got so emotional while listening to Chen Duo's story. How could you not love this character? He was like a big brother who wanted to protect the other members. He will not kill any innocent but that person which he called dibs on deserved everything that happened to him.
Qi- When he transformed was so fire. I liked his powers the most. He played the role perfectly. That little sly smile when he performs that Man love spell is a sight to see.

Ma Xianhong-
He was intelligent but his purpose for the greater good was wrong. You cannot be called kind if you want to bring chaos to the world. For me, he was manipulative to the core. He was powerful, he had one of the powers of eight Supremes but still felt inferior to others in the fights because he was using the power for the wrong purpose. We saw him recovering important information of his memories and I so wish that he change sides because the sister of his is not his real one but a manipulative bitch whole only used him from the start. I want him to take revenge for his grandfather.

‘Favourite scenes from the drama’-
1. Erzhuang becoming the puppet and breaking the village’s barrier.
2. Chulan’s Old Farmer technique
3. Wang Ye breaking Ma Xianhong’s weapon.
4. WY and ZGQ fight with MXH’s minions.

This is my first time not skipping intros in Cdramas. The OSTs of both seasons are amazing but I particularly liked the intro song of season two.

Your dream and your true-self is your best investment !!!

I love how Chinese dramas have evolved in recent years. They are showing strong female leads and this drama did the same.

Ning Meng-
The female lead’s character was so well written and Seven did a commendable job of portraying it. She was told that she could not become an investor. That's a norm set by our society that women cannot make good investments. But she proved them wrong. From being a secretary to being a director, her journey became motivational to all the women.
She was straightforward, and kind, never gave up on her dreams and even helped his former boss when he lost everything. This drama will make you cheer for her in her career growth. This was the best role Seven played(in my opinion)

Lu Ji Ming-
Whatever I say about this character will not be enough. He is a self-centred jerk from the start who only knows how to belittle everyone around him. When he said what he said in front of her senior while having dinner was unacceptable. I wanted to punch him so hard. Then they showed us his backstory. I did pity him after that for a few episodes until Yimeng’s entry. He was so nice and kind to Yimeng which means he knows what being nice means. Then why did he do that to Ning Meng, I will never understand this. But after episodes 17-18, he understood that he was in the wrong and that he liked Ning Meng. After that, he began to change and his character development was good and his father’s death played a crucial part in the development.

Their chemistry-
There was no chemistry. There was slow burn romance that can be categorized as emotional intimacy and understanding. This drama was not about romance from the beginning, it was about career growth and this drama did well. They got together in the very last scene and I liked it. They matured in their own way and then they came together.

Side characters
Su Wei Ran-
I have no sympathy for this character. If someone is born rich then they are not at fault. You cannot deny their existence or you cannot take revenge on all the rich kids just because your girl got away with the rich man. To be honest I don't think she cheated, he said they were having problems and they were fighting a lot. They both were struggling and he became aggressive. It was her fault but only partially. The way he denied his part was uncanny.

Si Tian and Yu hang-
They both are my favourites after Ning Meng. They are so cute together. They did not waste any time and got together. They were supportive of each other and of the people surrounding them.

The tile should be Ma Xiaojun’s wish :D

What I like-
- He is very smart from the beginning. Writing is good for Xiao Wudi. They didn’t waste time about learning things of the present world. I liked that part that he was not at all dumb.
- There was no love triangle. I was craving for some sweet and simple drama with no unnecessary bitching and negative character and this drama gave me that.
- Not even a single character was negative. Her workplace was so positive. Every person was supporting Nan Xing.
- I love Ma Xiaojun’s mother. She could have hated Nan Xing for her son’s death but rather became her mother.
- How underrated was Nan Xing’s friendship with Ye Qing?
- The twist in the last two episodes was so good. I was not expecting it at all but I feel bad for Ma Xiaojun.

What I don’t like-
- It started great. In the beginning, I was thinking of placing this drama on my top list but by the end of episode 16 or 17, it got boring. Because they only got together for one episode then he found out about his true identity and then the second thing I saw that he was gone to his timeline. All in all, it got messed up in the later episodes.
- But then the writer thought that he had to wrap up everything in the last two episodes and he did until those last 7 minutes came. I mean what is with the Chinese censorship? They did that in “Day of Becoming You” as well and I literally hated that and now they did the same in this. Now was she really in fire? Was she really going through that fire trauma? What about her father? If Ma Xiaojun is alive then the Dad should be alive as well right? I seriously hate confusing endings that is why I didn’t review the previous drama.
- Lu Zichen needed to grow up and he need in the later episodes but I wish it could have been sooner so that we could see more of their chemistry.

Yang Hua-
I loved his character. Xu Kai did a great job. After meeting Qin Shi he grew as a person. He looked at life from a different perspective. And that is how it should be. I never felt that they were in a fake marriage. Qin Shi was so comfortable around him. He will not forget to put her heels in their place even if he is drunk. That was so cute. How cutely he recites poems when he is drunk. I liked how he never felt ashamed of being a househusband and Drama did a commendable job of showing this in the first 20 episodes.

Qin Shi-
This character cannot be understood by all. Sometimes she comes as a red flag or weird but no one is perfect. Her goal was clear. She lied because she saw how difficult it was for her to get a job just because she was not married. And she could do anything to change that. I like how professional she was when her ex joined the company. What I don’t like about her is how blindly she trusted President Tang. And her obsession with being a partner in the firm. Leaving the firm was the best decision. Though she should have done it sooner.
Some might say that the last 5 episodes were unnecessary. But according to me the thing which happened in episode 36 should have happened in episode 30. She was afraid of marriage and I can understand that. She saw her father’s divorce twice. She saw her younger brother’s marriage being failed like every alternate day(that’s a different story). And then her seven-year relationship with Tao Jun Hui. Not everyone can break their wall easily. So yes she needed time to figure everything out. And Yang Hua gave her that. They should have shown their reunion and all other things in 3 episodes. Things were quite hasty in the last episode.

Li dai-
I just love this character. She only wanted fairness in her company. I love how underrated her friendship was with Yang Hua. When she got to know that she didn’t receive a single vote for the 11th floor, she left the firm. And I loved that she knew when to stop. After that, she shined like a bright diamond. She was a gem. I wish there was more screen time for her.

Tao Jun Hui and Wu Fei-
What do I even say about these two. He never took a stand for Qin Shi in front of his mother. Even in later episodes when his mother was speaking nonsense about the FL family, he never spoke up. His mother can make her son a puppet of a rich family but cannot allow to marry him such a beautiful and kind person. And after that, he was being rude to Qin Shi. I mean hello who gave you this right Sir? He could have gone to her even if she was not answering his texts. He knew about her fear of marriage right? But he went abroad. And then he dares to speak to her like that.
Wu Fei was an immature kid who got spoiled all her life. TJH never stopped her when she was doing such childish things with Qin Shi. She took her office, and cases, and even made someone spy on her from the office. Wtf? He always laughed and brushed it off when she did all these things. If your man is making you feel insecure you cannot blame it on the female lead.
Always shouting, yelling, and crying in the workplace. I mean that’s not your father’s firm. That’s all I need to say about this annoying character.

Watch at your own risk!!!

I can't believe what I just watched. As a Gemini, my patience is limited, and this drama tests it with every episode. I'm grateful that I don’t have friends like these in my life. I just don’t get San San. Her love life is a disaster, yet she constantly gives advice. I wouldn't put up with that.

The story kicks off with the female lead's father having stomach cancer, which is a predictable way to bring the characters together. I really didn't like how her father acted. Why do older people regress to childish behavior when it comes to health? I initially felt for Zhi Xiao; she seemed to handle the cancer situation fairly well. But after a few episodes, it felt like I was watching someone entirely different.

It’s okay to share everything with best friends, but they shouldn't interfere every time you argue with your boyfriend. I don't understand how Dr. Gu puts up with San San. This drama could have wrapped up in 16 episodes, but they chose to drag it out. By episodes 18 and 19, I had pretty much lost interest. I skipped through a lot because I was only watching for Xiao Zhan. He is such a sweetheart and deserved better. Although he was busy and Xiao Zhi understood, their relationship felt forced. Even their chemistry seemed awkward. If people liked their chemistry, they must not have seen better Chinese dramas like Nothing But You, Falling Into You, or Rational Love.

The last episode deserves a perfect score of 10/10. The speeches were really touching, especially the letters left by her dad. Overall, though, I would rate the entire drama just 5/10.

P.S.
I'm a big fan of Xiao Zhan and his other projects.

Major spoilers ahead!!!!

It surely has become one of the best cdrama after hidden love and when I fly towards you.
This drama is so cute. The way Ruo Xi looks at Xia Mi is so cute. He fell harder for her. He is such a sweetheart. OH MY GOD his smile is so good. Main leads chemistry was on point.
I felt bad for the Monitor throughout the series. He didn’t deserve that.
I don’t know why he ended up with Ruo Li. I thought she would feel guilty about her actions in later episodes but no she proved me wrong.
I just don’t like their end. Not every person deserves your forgiveness. The monitor shouldn’t have accepted her.
Every character in the series has their plus points. I really liked yu han’s character.
Some people will say that the male lead should have contacted her but the point of the later episodes was his struggle. Even if his mom’s surgery was successful, he still struggled financially. He wanted to be the best version of himself for Xia Mi. He wanted to fulfil that promise. He was frustrated with his life. He lost the phone charm as well which the female lead gifted him. Then after 2-3 years, he thought that she had moved on. He only realized that she hadn't when he read the script which she wrote.
In my opinion, it was a cute drama.

Ryan Ding without Romance. Who would've thought? I was so excited to see him in this drama because he nailed the demon cat role in Love You Seven Times. Having watched White Cat Legend, I can say that he is the best at playing cat roles.

What I like-

1. Ryan Ding is the only actor who could portray Li Bing for me. He brought an adorable charm to the part. His subtle cat gestures showed great attention to detail. I could see all the efforts he had put into this drama.

2. Their friendships were the highlight of the drama. Their trust and support for each other were so beautifully portrayed. I never knew this type of drama could make me cry!

3. Loved that they didn't force any romance because that would have been weird.

4. The comedic timing was always great especially Alibaba’s.

5. The twist with all the cases connecting to the major one and with Li Bing’s secret was amazing. The pacing of the drama started slow but picked up when all the cases connected.

6. All the them calling Li Bing “Cat Hero” after learning his identity was so funny. A lot better than Chen Shi’s reaction.

What I didn't like-

1. Chen Shi’s character was so poorly written. He was naive and trusted people too easily even after going through so many deadly situations. His character was only written for the brother part. They only showed his character development in the very last few episodes.

2. Shangguan Qin was a strong female lead in this drama but her screen time became less and less and by episode twenty or something she was completely moved out of the story. I wanted a better ending for her.

3. Qui Qing Zhi was shown as a negative character from the start then we came to know that he was doing all that to protect Li Bing. Does it make sense? He had so many choices but he chose the worst one and ruined his friendship with Li Bing. If he could've told him sooner about his plans, Li Bing would've understood. And if that wasn't enough they had to kill him in front of Li Bing.

I would definitely recommend this drama even after all the flaws because it has a bit of everything. Comedy, Mystery, Strong Characters, Friendships and Action.

Emotions under the skin!!

This season was about Shen Yi’s exploring the world of emotions. Season 1 was amazing and season 2 was no less. The main concept was the same of catching criminals through art but they did a great job of highlighting it on a deeper level this season.

What I like-
1. Shen Yi being the genius that he is wants to explore more. The way he was seeing through people’s emotions was amazing. This season reminded me a lot of THROUGH THE DARKNESS. I was excited and afraid at the same time to see his dark side. And when episode 20 came, I was shocked. I got goosebumps all over. To me, he carried the whole season. He is such a great actor. I want to see him in a psychopath kinda role. TJC deserve all the awards.
2. Li Han and Jiang Feng got more screen time this season. I could see more of their individuality. I loved it. Now I can understand the characters more.
3. The cases and their writings were amazing. Though some were boring and draggy, some were so well-written that I forgot about the boring ones.
4. Du Cheng in the last few episodes was amazing. I love how everything turned out well.
5. The cliffhanger was so good. The similarities between the stabbing in the alley in so uncanny. Now we have to see if it is a metaphorical dream-like season 1 or if he actually got stabbed.

What I don't like-
1. Du Cheng’s is lost in this season. What happened to his hunch? He was so clueless for most of the series. He cares for Shen Yi but I could see more of this in season 1. His emotions this season were not up to the mark. Sometimes it felt like he was jealous and sometimes genuine care. I want season 3 more about Du Cheng. I want to see his character development.
2. Shen Yi has to understand that not every time Du Cheng can save him. He had to think before taking some dangerous actions.
3. Season one for me was better because they worked on cases together. They trusted each other but in this season they were solving the same cases but separately. They wouldn't discuss much with each other and it seemed off. And then the circle talk comes at the end but I couldn't relate to it because their actions said otherwise the whole season.
4. Where did Shen Yi’s hunch go when it came to Fang? Even Du Cheng could tell that he was weird but Shen Yi trusted him.
5. I wish this series also had 20 episodes like season 1 because some cases were draggy and boring.

All in all, I will still give it 8/10 and will wait for season 3. Hope they don't make the same mistakes next season. I want to see more of the focus on Du Cheng this time.
