This is the first drama I ever continued watching even after knowing It's gonna be sad a journey and ending. I didn't have the the heart to dropped it when I found out into 20 episodes about the ending and now I'm glad I continued because it really was worth it. The story will keep you hooked and you won't even realize that you watched 49 episode. Even though there's not much romance, what was there was very meaningful, emotional and the FL and ML's acting portrait it beautifully. All the actors were really outstanding and played their roles well. Fighting scene were exiting, romantic scene were heart fluttering, deaths were very painful but this ending was satisfying. They lost a lot but won at the end. They sacrifice for the country and it's people, to give them a peaceful and flourished nation. It's really was a game of chess. It may not be a romantic/ lived happily ever after ending but in it own way it's a happy ending.
This is such a great story. Lead actors are amazing, specially Ren Jia Lun and Seven Tan Song Yun. There acting was on point and so convincing that it shows what a great skill they have. This story definitely deserves a 2nd season. I would like to see a little bit to the future like the Xia families name getting cleared, a new emperor, marriage plusmore detective work. But as it is, this drama plot has been exicuted perfectly without plot holes. I hope there will be more collaboration from ML and FL.
Yang Yang is my favourite Xiao Nai. Really good acting, controlled facial expressions. ( Plus eye candy )❤️ . Really love this smart, cool, cunning yet loyal , lovely character
I can't count how many times I rewatched this drama , it's simple and fluffy. I love the movie and its Wei Wei but I also lover the drama's Wei Wei as well even tho she's little too stiff. The more you watched it , you understand that the Wei Wei's character settings for the drama is innocent, naive, calm, shy, inexperienced but also strong willed while the movie's is more outgoing, intelligent, funny, cute yet lovable. So I don't blame the actress cus I really enjoyed both.
Damn. This cast. When I first watched this I only knew Angelbaby , but now that I've watched plenty of c-dramas , I don't know where to look. All my favourite actress are here
