This show would have been so much better if they shortened it.

Me tooo! I hate it when theres a major fall between the couples and 5 years later they get together. This isn't really like that However, I did find it boring to I basically watched it on fast forward. but I think you can watch Love is Sweet thats a nice show!
The female lead is so unlikable, I can't even sympathize with her.
she wasn't always like that. Rather after being bullied she became less outgoing and well she was just to herself. Her cold-hearted personality was like her shield so that she wouldn't be a pushover and experience what she once did. At least thats what I feel.
I really was interested in the show at the beginning I thought it had great potential but then it got draggy. 36 episodes and ML falls in love with her pretty fast so im not surprised that it was dragged. They spent a lot of time in the phase where both the ML and FL kind of likes each other but no one does anything. Instead they could of shown more scenes of the when they were in a contract relationship and started to fall in love. For eg they could have show us a scene where the ML shifts drinking bitter coffee to mocha as he is influenced by the FL rather than ONLY hearing it from them. The story of when the person saves the ML had no importance throughout the show they just mentioned it in the beginning and at the end. I felt this would have been a great show it was shorter and focused on process of the ML and FL falling in love.

Now I remember why exactly I called the ML a jerk. So in the starting of the show and when the FL has a one-sided crush I felt like the ML didn't really like her back however when you see the Korean version you get to know that the ML does like her back because they do show him smiling and you know kind of hints that she he likes her I never realised that was the case in the Chinese version too because the ML didnt show much of his reactions to the audience. First of all shows where the girl has a one-sided crush on a guy to the point that she loses all his self-esteem is all already like a downside but I did realize that there are quite a few Chinese shows that have this concept so ignoring that aspect I would say the only thing that I really didn't like is the ML at the end when he justifies himself saying he though the FL would never leave him because that how she was before. Thats what really made me feel like he was a jerk. I mentioned before I did feel like the fall between the couples at the end was such a minor issue is that all they have to do is speak it out but none of them were willing to so I thought it was kind of stupid. But other than that not a bad show. 7.5/10
Any drama where the ML and FL fall in love super soon (like in this show) gets me worried. 1. I think seeing the couple fall in love is the main reach how the audience fall in love with the show and the characters. 2. (most important) I fell like in most dramas where the couple fall in love fast the later parts of the show becomes draggy at least this has been the case with the shows I've watched so far. I did also find the second half of the show boring. The ending was just a complete mess. I personally felt the focus of her having powers or whatever wasn't the focus throughout the show. I meant it was but it also wasn't I dont know how to explain it so i'll stop here:)
So far I MUCH prefer True Beauty to this. I've laughed so much and enjoyed the characters so much with True Beauty…
I think this is a good show addressing beauty standards etc. However, this show kind of has double standards because they are very supportive of MiRae even though she has surgery done which was nice but not supportive of Woo Ro for being bulimic when one of the main reason for people having bulimia is the beauty standards. Also personally I felt the ML and FL had very awkward characters but like you said True Beauty was Great! So Funny and great characters Han See Jun my FAVvvvv
