Ha ha, yes I get that. I always tend to think that if a person kisses you, you either kiss them back if you like it or you push them away. I could never understand the meaning of standing like a boulder with eyes open :)

Not exactly, I like the premise that people need not be good in everything. I think that even if you are not good in many things you always have your niche. you can hold on to that and be successful with that. Most heroes who women swoon over are shown as being good with everything. That is not normal or necessary.

Agree! However, I thought this was better than dramas such as Itazura that portray smart, handsome boy falls for dumb talkative girl. In this drama they show that the ML is a computer whiz but fails miserably in literature and other subjects. She on the other hand categorically says that she is not a genius but a hard worker. You can see that once she stops studying (when she is depressed-when he leaves her), her grades automatically fall. I think this is more towards the normal curve than the others.

Thanks for the wonderful write-up. Contrary to you I love high school romance stories (probably because my high school experience ranged from calculus to physics :)). One of the main reasons I enjoyed this drama was the character of the FL. She was a strong, self-respecting individual who did not get lost along the way. She loved him passionately (and the steamy kiss scene at the cinema hall largely helped) but at the same time stood up to him to say that he did not need to be her soul savior (or pick her up during the rains). They did not break up at the drop of a hat or because "it is good for you". They rebelled against the mom for their own good but kept their promises and respected their parents. Overall my fav high school movie!
