Not really, they communicate about it. But uh something major (as in, university students are gossiping about it) will happen with Dam and Gye Seon Woo that will make Shin Woo Yeo jealous. But it will get resolved pretty quickly.

As someone who read the manhwa, I've come to realize that the manhwa had some plot holes and unresolved things. For example, I feel like they could've fleshed out the way Shin Woo Yeo becomes human more. They just showed his jealousy in the manhwa, as well as the fact he learns how to make jokes. The way "God" made SWY human in the manhwa seemed kind of abrupt to me (He says ILY to Dam then boom, human!).

For the drama, I hope the writers work well in developing the relationship between SWY and Dam more. That way, his road to becoming human will be all the more satisfying and fulfilling when he ends up with Dam in the end.

I agree with the comment above. The red string in the manhwa was used by the deity to really bring out the human aspect of the relationship, as well as the human side of Shin Woo Yeo. Otherwise SWY wouldn't have the "drive" to become human.

In the manhwa, it's also important to note that the deity tells Dam that the secret to SWY becoming human isn't in the frequency of absorbing energy. It's about acting human and carrying out human traits and characteristics. The "God" deity or whatever is actually really rooting for SWY and Dam to end up together, and he wants SWY to become human. To the point he thinks SWY is stupid for not realizing it sooner. He only makes SWY human when he feels satisfied that SWY is showing human traits and characteristics.

Anyway, the red string will end up getting tied to SWY, so yeah HAHA

Nope! :( Kim Tae Hee didn't exist in the manhwa! Her bestie was another girl who was dating Seok sunbae, if I remember it right. Kim Tae Hee is an entirely new character. Come to think of it, a lot of Dam's besties didn't make it to the drama.

It's a mix of both in the manhwa tbh, I think the tipping point that made him human was saying "I love you" to Dam.

She's not gonna forget anything! She's actually going to stick to SWY.

It's not really a love triangle, as she really refuses him every time. He doesn't make a move on her anymore. It just goes to show that at their new job, he's changed for the better.

- Basically, Dam and her friends go on a trip. Shin Woo Yeo is sad because he can't come. (Plus Gye Seon Woo is there). And he tells Dam not to make him jealous. Dam of course has to go, though. Gye Seon Woo confesses to her again there (while drunk I believe).
- When they get back to school, Dam trips over the red thread is helped by Gye Seon Woo. Anyway, Shin Woo Yeo shows up and Gye Seon Woo finally realizes they are dating. But Dam makes GSW promise not to tell anyone she's dating the professor. GSW agrees, but he asks to speak to Dam in private.
- GSW tells Dam to be careful, because a lot of students are shipping SWY with another female professor. Dam doesn't want to believe it, but she gets to school and she sees people gossiping about it. One day, Dam goes to the faculty room of SWY and sees the female professor go out of it. She looks weak. It turns out SWY was seducing/flirting with the female professor and sucking her human energy. SWY tries to explain, but Dam leaves because she can't understand why SWY would be so inhumane. So Hye Sun has to explain to SWY why Dam finds it inhumane.
- Dam spends the night drinking at the convenience store. She's hella drunk after 2 bottles. GSW finds her, and offers to take her home, but she won't tell him her address. So she spends the night in the shotgun seat of his car. He falls asleep in the driver's seat. The next day, Dam wakes up beside him and screams. She heads to school in a hurry. People begin gossiping about them spending the night (they're both wearing yesterday's clothes) and the gossip reaches a new high when GSW returns Dam's ponytail to her. From a distance, SWY watches, but Hye Sun tells him to not do anything he will regret.

There are a lot of subplots, but I think the most important one is the red thread + when Dam graduates.
- A few days before the last day of school, Gye Seon Woo confesses to Dam again. And Dam tells him that they should say goodbye for the last time. GSW is heartbroken, but the red string breaks between them as he leaves. The red string then magically connects to Shin Woo Yeo.
- It's important to note that by this time, people know Dam is dating Shin Woo Yeo. It's because he went to her when he was worried about her, and she confronted him and told him not to run away, no matter what happens. They'll face the marble problem of making him human together.
- Yeah, people are kind of rudely gossiping about Dam dating the professor but she tells them off and says it's no big deal since they're graduating.
- During graduation and the exhibit, Dam meets Do Jae Jin's brother—he's looking for Do Jae Jin. He's old already, but yeah he tells her she grew up well and that he really enjoyed viewing her graduation project, Anyway, once he leaves, Shin Woo Yeo shows up with flowers (sweet, heh). But Lee Dan shows up, too. Dam introduces SWY as her boyfriend, but Dan won't believe her and think it's a prank. When SWY confirms it's real, he starts asking if Dam threatened SWY or if SWY lost a bet, heh.
- Anyway, Dam's parents show up, and for some reason, the mom doesn't remember SWY? Anyway, the dad is mad that she is dating an older man (and her professor, at that) and living with him. And Dam gets mad because their family motto is all about making their own way in the world. SWY sort of wins them over with his face, but Dam's father still forces her to move back home.

I'm going to skip a lot of the subplots but basically...
- Dam's besties are getting married right after graduation. Dam's dad says she can't live with a guy who she's not married to, and Dam's mom jokes with SWY that Dam doesn't want to get married. At first, SWY is hurt that Dam is not considering marriage with him once he's human, but Dam explains that she likes him and will stay with him—she's just not ready to become a wife and mother so early.
- Dam tells SWY that it's not about the frequency of human interaction that makes him human. It's him having to act human that makes the marble blue. The "God"/deity told her this, and he is kinda frustrated that it took SWY 999 years to realize this. So Dam wants to teach SWY how to act more human...she's telling him to have fun more and eat out with people more.
- Anyway, Dam and GSW work in the same office again after grad (lol) and SWY gets jealous when they have dinner once. But Dam gets jealous when SWY hangs out with his fangirls. She follows him to a restaurant because Hye Sun wants to spy on them. It turns out SWY is actually hanging out with the girls because Dam said he should have fun and interact with humans more. Anyway, SWY discovers them, and Hye Sun leaves.
- Ending is basically them confessing I love you to each other and kissing! And then SWY becomes human and the "God"/deity is satisfied. Meanwhile, Hye Sun realizes that Do Jae Jin is her first love who died years ago and made a deal with the deity to be reincarnated 11 times until he meets her again. ("God"/deity is kinda frustrated it took her so long to realize he was her reincarnated first love).
- Anyway, happy ending with Dam saying let's go everywhere together and Shin Woo Yeo agreeing!

Nope, she's strong-minded so she will overrule that fake destiny by "God." It also helps that Shin Woo Yeo keeps getting jealous LMAO just wait till she gets the same part time job as Gye Seon Woo.

I read the webtoon, and that arc is the most confusing thing ever. :(( I don't really understand it.

Aside from the weird red string of fate??? Hm...I like Gye Seon Woo, I feel like he's redeemed himself. But yeah, Dam doesn't like him that way.

During their trip (the summer one without Shin Woo Yeo), he confesses again while drunk. Anyway, when they get back to school, he talks to Dam and she trips on her red string (this string also connects to SWY sometimes I think?). And she falls into Shin Woo Yeo's arms.

Gye Seon Woo finds out they're dating, but Dam has him sworn to secrecy. But later Gye Seon Woo tells Dam to be careful because he saw SWY dating another professor. And it turns out SWY is seducing that female professor for her energy. And Dam gets sad, confronts SWY, and she gets drunk at a convenience store that night. Gye Seon Woo finds her drunk, but she won't tell him his address. So she sleeps in his car, in the shotgun seat, while he sleeps in the driver's seat.

The next day, Dam screams because she "slept" with Gye Seon Woo (in his car, lel) and runs to school. Since both of them are wearing their clothes from the day before, people speculate that they spent the night together. Then Gye Seon Woo returns her ponytail to Dam, and people start to gossip more.

Shin Woo Yeo gets worried and kinda jealous, but Hye Sun stops him before he does something he regrets.

There's a lot more, but they stay friends ish. Awkward friends. 😅

AHAHA it's alright! I hope they keep it (even the reverse shirt thing lel) especially because this Kdrama has a somewhat mature rating + premieres at night!

It stays SUPER close. I think there are only a few minor changes. I predicted most of the plot points, especially while watching Episode 1-2...those were nearly IDENTICAL, like the clogged toilet moment with her sunbae helping her with the plastic bag method.

The only differences were her female best friend was different, and her female best friend had a boyfriend also. In the Kdrama, her best friend is Kim Tae Hee and they're trying to ship her with Seok sunbae (he was in the webtoon, but he didn't date Dam's friend at all). And another difference was the serial killer plotline, there wasn't really a maegu serial killer pretending to be SWY's first love.

Other than that, I am able to predict most of the events in the webtoon, hehe. I just don't remember all coz it's been a while.

Yup, I placed the happy ending in a comment above. ^^ 🥰 I don't remember her dad being mentioned in the webtoon. Maybe I just missed it, but it wasn't a part of the plot hehe.

Happy ending, true love's kiss with Dam makes Woo Yeo human, they literally tell each other, "I love you" and then they kiss. (This is an oversimplification, but you get me!) "God" (Go Kyung Pyo) is satisfied that Woo Yeo finally became human, too. :")

And Hye Sun finally remembers that Do Jae Jin is her human love who died. So when her human love died, he made a deal with "God" (Go Kyung Pyo's character) that he will be reincarnated 11 (I think) times until he meets her again. "God" is kinda mad that she was too stupid to remember, but he's satisfied at the end, lel.

In the webtoon they never explained it except that she's "strong-minded" like her mom. 😂

That's answered in today's episode, Episode 10. It's "God" (played by Go Kyung Pyo) in disguise!

*Potential* spoilers based on the Episode 11 preview (because I read the webtoon):

- Hye Sun tries to take a drunk Do Jae Jin home. But he keeps stripping and acting weird (coz he's a crazy drunk). So she brings him to a room in her hotel suite to sleep. (He thinks they slept together but they didn't lol).
- In the webtoon, there was a red thread plot also, so I predict this will happen: Shortly after Dam visits Shin Woo Yeo in his house, they'll be awkward at first and then eventually have skinship.
- In the webtoon, this meant an X-rated scene. Dam accidentally put on her shirt backwards after they did it so SWY had to correct her. 😂
- More jealousy moments! Dam needs a part-time job for the summer/for vacation, and she ends up working at the same convenience store place as Gye Seon Woo (it's owned by his cousin). She doesn't tell Shin Woo Yeo so at 3am or something he follows her out and discovers her part time job with Gye Seon Woo.
- Shin Woo Yeo is starting to get jealous. Sometimes, though, the red thread of fate connects to him and not just to Gye Seon Woo.
- Dam has to go on a school trip eventually for the summer. Shin Woo Yeo can't go so he tries to act cute and back hugs her so she won't leave. But Dam still has to go to the trip. This is where the red thread plot manifests a lot, since Gye Seon Woo will end up confessing to her while drunk again? (But idk...this happened already in the show so maybe they will cut out this scene).
- Some happier moments that I hope they include in the drama: One time, Dam gets her grades back. She does okay, but she gets a C in SWY's class. So she goes to him and confronts him, like, "I got an A in all my exams and quizzes, why are you giving me a C?" And he's like, "Coz I know you didn't do that one homework—you went on a date with another guy instead." And they bicker for a bit, until Dam's phone beeps and apparently there was an error in submitting her grades. Her C changes to an A. And SWY is all, "Yeah, I was really gonna give you an A anyway, but I got jealous so I wanted to scare you a bit." Then he leaves. 😅
