I don't know about you but I actually don't find Li Xun arrogant rather he is someone who has an unwavering self-confidence on himself especially on his skills. He doesn't give a damn about others opinion or perception of him that's why he always gives off an arrogant vibes. He has sharp tongue but honestly all he says are factual words. The only time he lies is when he wants to push Zhu Yun away.
His words only becomes painful when the receiver couldn't accept what he said. I mean, the only time I heard him call someone with names was when he found out that bastard Gao was the real root of his sister's demise. I never saw a scene where he belittled other's ability nor did he boast to anyone how good he is. So, really I don't see him as arrogant – behavior wise but just his presence since he has such a strong compelling charisma with a resting bitch face.
Here comes my honest reviewDamn i was so looking forward to watching it & i finally have!First half was good.…
“No brain heroine forgiving the hero without apologising” did you watched ep27? Or did you skipped a lot because it was as clear as the morning sky in that episode when Li Xun apologised to Zhu Yun for what he did to her three years ago.
“His way of making people feel inferior” in what way or manner did Li Xun made other people feel inferior? Will you specify it? Because according to what I watch it was only bastard Gao who felt inferior to Li Xun. Li Xun never demonstrated an intentional action that would make other people feel inferior nor did he said any words that demeaned others. If working hard and being so confident on how good you are in your craft is an equivalent of making people feel inferior like how Gao felt then it isn't Li Xun's problem but the people like Gao who can't accept the fact that there are people in this world who are far better than you.
“FL should have tried correcting it instead of just accepting everything.” I do remember Zhu Yun correcting or rather calling out Li Xun especially when he scolded Fang Shumiao. Zhu Yun just don't simply accept everything she actually tells Li Xun off several times.
Thank you so much for this. The show was interesting, I give it that but I couldn't continue watching it knowing…
“He basically alienated her from her parents and he never tried to convinced that he'll be good for her.”
Lol did you heard what Li Xun said when he confronted her mother again? He asked her to give condition and he will try to satisfy them but did you listened to what her mother replied? She wanted him to bring his family and erase his record which is ridiculous since she knows that he is already an orphan and could never erase the mistake he has done. That clearly implies that no matter what he will do to please her she will never accept him. Even before Li Xun committed such an irreversible action, her mother never once tried to look at Li Xun in a different perspective. Her mother only saw Li Xun as the guy who made mistake during his high school days but she never saw how he owned up and regretted his mistake when he came to her house soaking in the rain asking her to just put all the blame on him and not expel his latin dancer friend. Therefore, you're wrong, it wasn't Li Xun who made Zhu Yun estranged with her family it was her mother's hypocrisy and narrow-mindedness that pushed Zhu Yun to be basically estranged with them.
“He is the epitome of superiority complex.”
Are you sure? Because as far as I vividly recall, Li Xun never praised himself it was the people who always praised his skills; he never sought validation from others, he never compared himself with anyone, he never devalue others accomplishments, he never made things all about him rather it was the people around him who made everything about him, he never also tried to prove to others that he is better than them.
People with superiority complex feels threatened once they encounter someone who is better than them, they'll feel inferior but will carry on convincing themselves that they are the superior one by overcompensating what they lack and Li Xun never demonstrated such behaviour throughout the entire span of the series. They also have the sense of entitlement which Li Xun also never demonstrated in the entire series. People with superiority complex never admits their fault but Li Xun acknowledged his wrongs when he owned up his mistake during highschool and when he apologised to Zhu Yun for what he did to her 3 years ago and to what he had told her before she was hospitalised.
Li Xun doesn't want to be controlled especially to people who have ulterior motives. But he never controlled others even Zhu Yun. He supported whatever decision she made. He accepts opinions if needed and if it is for the betterment of their work. He also never showcased an offended feeling whenever he would received negative feedback.
Honestly, the one who has superiority complex is that bastard Gao. He has all the qualities of someone with superiority complex that you accuse Li Xun of. Since meeting Li Xun he always sought validation, trying to prove that he is better than Li Xun, always comparing himself to him and he always take offense when others gives negative feedback about his work especially if it involves Li Xun. And on the second half of the story, he really became close-minded, utterly self-entitled, controlling and he never admitted all the wrongdoings he has done to his friends.
Li Xun is stubborn and could be impulsive and extreme at times with a sharp tongue yes, but he is never someone who is an epitome of superiority complex.
If you don't care about the flashbacks better watch something else because this story is half made with their…
The first and a half episodes was just the middle part of the story. It wasn't even their entire future more things will happen from that period once it is shown. But if you don't like the theme of the story it's totally fine for you to withdraw from it rather than get stressed over watching something you don't like.
AHAHAHA Same!! I'm on my break and my watchlist was all ready, then Lighter and Princess was trending like fire…
It is so surreal lol I never understood this withdrawal symptoms before until L&P arrived in my life now I know and it feels like I'm going on a healthy break up that I never once experienced lmao
Can someone tell me how long the flashback in episode 2 goes for. The 7 years ago flashback. How many episodes?…
If you don't care about the flashbacks better watch something else because this story is half made with their past. But if you're worried that the story will keep going back and forth from present to past then worry not. This story has distinct timeline.
This series is dear to me like my own child so Imma fight for it as long as I'm not busy with work. If you don't want to watch the show carry on, abandon it and if you dare post your opinion and you sound unreasonable you will surely have it from me lmao. I mean, if you never finished this story or you just keep on fast forwarding scenes you don't have the damn right to state your opinion about it! Because you practically never even understand the story! You're just straight out blabbering bullshit! Just walk out the damn door and watch another series that will satisfy you! Like I know every story are not for anyone but please be reasonable when you're stating opinions and not just simply finding fault. It's damn petty pettier than when Li Xun is damn jealous but not as petty as what that bastard Gao and Fang guy has done.
I guess y'all didn't understand the part where I said I'm on 16th episode 💀
Lol it seems like you're the one who didn't understand what you said. You said “Tbh I WON'T BLAME Gao for ANYTHING he DOES to them in FUTURE because these two people DESERVE it” so you practically said Li Xun deserved to lose his sister's life and the company he worked with his sweat and blood with several sleepless nights along with Zhu Yun without even having watched the succeeding events. Your remark didn't just condoned Gao’s future action but also lay judgement for Li Xun and Zhu Yun without KNOWING what detestable action that bastard Gao will do.
Honestly, your remark sounds as if you did not even properly watched the 16 episodes, you just find fault.
Y'all I didn't know the withdrawal symptoms for this series is this hard like I'm on my holiday leave and I have prepared my watchlist yet I can't get into anything I just keep re-watching scenes from L&P lmao
I just want to say that this show is brilliant in so many ways especially the direction of the story telling: it started in the middle and ended in the beginning and I adore how well executed that was!!! What more is, the parallelism of most of the scenes without them seeming repetitive damn that was epic and emotional!
The story is well thought out with so much essence. It depicts reality and how each of our actions can cause ripples to the lives of the people around us.
And I also want to say how much I adore the main couple. Damn. Their chemistry spilled through my screen coursing through my bones! And the portrayal of each actors with their character is seamless especially Li Xun and Zhu Yun. I love everyone in exclusion of Gao and that Fang guy.

Okay I'm done ranting for now.

This is easily 10/10 for me.
