This was really good! The story pulled me in, the mystery kept me guessing, and the cinematography was gorgeous. The lighting was insane!!! So beautiful. Xiao Zhan absolutely nailed it as Zang Hai. His microexpressions truly brought Zang Hai to life. I also really loved his dynamic with Master Gao Ming, and Duke Ping Jin and Eunuch Cao.
. That was the most funniest and stupid plot I've ever encountered in fiction..The Concept of making the Creator-God…
So true. It was the best part of the story for me and it led to them working together again, which was also a super satisfying end to the entire story.
This was good! I thought SML's story was the most interesting, but the main leads were also good. I have a thing for fans so Nan Xuyue with his fan looked so graceful and majestic 🤤. ML got more interesting after turning into a demon, before that he was quite boring. Still, romance was fire!
is this really worth watching? just wanted to know if it has like a tragic ending or smth?
You could say it's a tragic ending because both leads die, but considering everything else I thought it was fitting and in a way even satisfying. In my opinion it's worth watching but people overall have mixed feelings about the drama. If you like fluffy romance it's not for you, if you don't mind misunderstandings and love/hate relationship between ML and FL give it a try.
That fan group is problematic and crazy to the point even the artist himself is drowning because of them. Just…
That's fair. I'm sorry but I felt the need to make some things clear since others brought XZ and his fandom into this conversation. Since I said what I had to say I'll leave it that.
That fan group is problematic and crazy to the point even the artist himself is drowning because of them. Just…
It was GJ and ZZH fans who publicly admitted that they participated in 227 incident, who started attacking XZ first and who got themselves sued by him and in the end ended up being kicked out of their own respective fanclubs, apparently. But it's "that fan group" that is being is problematic and crazy". Funny.
All fandoms have toxic individuals and if they're toxic to other artists they should be sued. Stop painting just one fandom as toxic when they ALL do the same shit.
Anyways, this has nothing to do with GJ and ZZH (I'm not attacking them in any way) but I'm tired of seeing this one-sided, shallow narrative again and again and again.
I really like the trailer. The aesthetic is on point, the costumes are beautiful (that scene from the back with Shi Ying's flowy robes!) and Xiao Zhan's voice is maybe even the best part. I really love his voice ❤️
I don't know who Ren Min is but people say she's a talented actress and she's cute so I'm looking forward to the pairing.
This is such a murky topic but... keep in mind that these kind of political / leaning-propaganda shows are what…
Isn't that what everyone does? Don't tell me you believe that f.ex. American military themed movies/TV shows actually portray the truth about their involvement in other countries' affairs? Be it China or the USA (or any other country), it's all pretty much propaganda when it comes to that specific topic. And why are we even talking about this when no one has even seen the drama yet. Let's wait to see what it's all about before we start throwing rocks.
From what I've seen by reading comments people who watched donghua/read novel hate how it's not faithful to the original source, but people like me who have no prior knowledge about the story love it.
Yes the music is not the best. They could have added better music but I still like it because it's entertaining…
I'm not saying it's BAD bad, it's just kinda, idk, boring. I've only seen 4 episodes so far so maybe it gets better. It's important to say that I don't hold it against the show. If I love the music it'll be a plus, but if I'm neutral it won't really affect the level of my enjoyment. As for the FL. I have mixed feelings about her. She's badass and can fight but her behavior is just UGH. I rarely like female characters so I'm used to this though lol.
I haven't watched the donghua or read the novel so as someone who has no prior knowledge of this universe I can say that I love how it's building up. First few episodes are surprisingly good. I'm a fan of Xiao Zhan and I love his portrayal of Tang San but Xiao Wu is a bit annoying at times. I've been told she gets less annoying later so that's something to look forward to. I'm gonna compare this to TU (don't ask why, it has become my standard) and say that music is much worse (may be because I'm a big fan of traditional sounding music idk) but the CGI is incomparably better. All in all, it managed to pique my interest so I'll continue watching until the end.
I'm on episode 20 and until now it's been good. I don't usually like watching dramas where the main genre is romance so I'm surprised with how much ML and FL managed to capture my attention. Episodes where their romance is the main focus (like episode 19) are still a bit cringey though. I like actors, their acting (except 4th prince, he really can't act), costumes and music. Story isn't that complex so unless something really interesting happens by the end I think this will be somewhere between 8 and 9 for me. I had no expectations that could be ruined so I find it quite enjoyable.
Actually it’s my first drama with Xiao Zhan. I don’t get why is he so popular. He looks ordinary.Prefer the…
No one is that popular just because of their appearance, no matter how good they look. It's a bonus for sure, but he has many other qualities that make people love and support him. I agree that Darren is perfect for this specific ML role though.
Xiao Zhan is really one of a kind celebrity. In my 24 years of life I've never been a fan of anyone. My friend (who got me into The Untamed) first introduced me to k-pop and k-dramas and even though I indulged her and even enjoyed some of the content we watched together I never got intrigued enough to become a fan of anyone. However, watching The Untamed I got interested in Xiao Zhan, and the more I learned about him the more I came to respect him. He's a good actor and an amazing singer, he's kind and thoughtful, very eloquent (never thought I would enjoy watching someone's interviews so much) and mentally strong. Hardworking perfectionist who just wants to mind his own business and improve. I may have gotten interested because of his good looks, but without his other qualities I wouldn't have become his fan. I still haven't watched all of his dramas, but I love how he brings a whole different feeling to each of his roles. Wei Wuxian, Yan Bingyun, Beitang Moran and Ji Chong are so different and he managed to portray all of them in a beautiful way. I'm looking forward to his future works!
Based on some comments I've seen here I thought I would have to "force" myself to watch this but I actually love it so far. Not much has happened in the first 12 episodes but I like the pacing and characters introduction and relationship between prince Bo and Ma Zhai Xing is not cringey and doesn't feel rushed at all. Darren Wang is a nice surprise. I really LOVE his Wolfie scenes, he can pull that innocent look and make your heart melt. I hope it stays this good until the end.
Xiao Zhan absolutely nailed it as Zang Hai. His microexpressions truly brought Zang Hai to life. I also really loved his dynamic with Master Gao Ming, and Duke Ping Jin and Eunuch Cao.
Just a solid drama all around. 👏🏻
