YouTube doesn't allow fan subs anymore so no i don't think begin again was subbed by fan subber and mgtv only subbed the first 4 eps at the beginning and it took them months to sub the whole drama. i am not blaming the translators cause they work extremely hard it's definitely the fault of the mgtv management
ughh i hate mango tv.....there r so bad when it comes to subbing they really choose the worst dramas of theirs to sub while leaving out the actual good ones. They subbed really bad dramas like well dominated love,perfect and casual etc while leaving out dramas like begin again lmao makes no sense to me honestly and the way they r moving i don't think they will sub this drama properly either

yes i do not get how people don't mention how he raped her. the drama didn't properly show it probably due to censorship but in the book it's quite clear that he did rape her + the way ah du looked at her in the morning and cried explains it. and the fl i believe was still in love with his " gu xiaowu " persona and considering the fact that she was really young(15/16 when the drama started and 18 when it ended) and it was her " first love " i kinda get why she still had lingering feelings for him
the way so many people will write paragraphs trying to defend the ml's deeds and so many people will call the fl " childish " (when actually she IS a child, she was 15/16 at the start of the drama) perfectly shows how no matter what happens in a relationship or in any stage of life the men would have the " society "'s support while the women would get criticized for every small things
this is the first time ever i finished a historical drama and it was 55 eps long really can't believe that.....this was just too good and extremely tragic at the same time. the fl deserved so much better i really felt so bad for her. one thing i do not understand is how people ship the ml and fl together like......the ml killed her grandfather with his own hands by deceiving her in the worst way possible, killed all her cousins, killed her mom,killed her master (+ah du would have also died luckily she survived that time) and not but least he literally raped her I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW CAN U SHIP THEM.
i watched the directors cut version too and ig they wanted to say if the ml wasn't involve in the sick politics of the palace he wouldn't have become someone like that and they would have been happy in their previous life i don't know i just feel so sad for the female lead she seriously didn't deserve anything that happened to her
one of my first cdramas & the cdrama that made me want to watch more cdramas. it's such a simple & probably overused plot but they managed to make it really entertaining.
other than the fact that their parents made them kinda live together everything else was realistic. like the process of them liking each other then falling in love the awkwardness and yes being horny and everything lmao i like that they included that part cause if u r young and living together things like that is going to happen.
now... where the ml goes to abroad and a white woman falls in love with him part is kinda funny to me lmao.... like cdrama and their obsessesion with inserting white people in their dramas makes me kinda laugh like it's so unnecessary & i really did not like the 2nd lead couples like they didn't had any chemistry whatsoever and their love story just didn't feel right if they weren't in the drama I would have given this 10/10
don't understand the hate against bosong in the comments cause imo the fl's behavior towards the ml was kind of the same as his behavior towards the fl and he stopped chasing her when ml decided that he " likes " the fl.
i don't entirely support bosong's behavior in the drama tho cause he did some problematic stuff but imo the ml isn't that great either his " character development " wasn't that good either.
Also the topic that everyone would like to not talk about..... the colorism towards bosong the whole entire drama yes asian dramas tend to have " colorist jokes " in them but my god this one is filled with it.... as a brown person it's so hard to watch .
anyway if i was the fl i would have definitely choose bosong but overall the drama was quite enjoyable didn't think i would bringe watch it but i ended up doing it. 7/10
the plot of choosing between an older man and a younger man is kinda similar to find yourself, i really enjoyed find yourself i hope this one will be good too + really excited to see dylan in a modern day drama after a long time
definitely the worst version of the manga....the cast are adorable imo i really liked all of them and always watch their latest dramas but this drama really wasn't it....but i am glad it gave the lead actors a good career foundation
don't really see the hype abt this drama.....it's just too boring for my taste and the ml a whole stalker like bugging her laptop to see what she is doing even before meeting her in real life my god there's so many things wrong with this. and the fl's character feels so empty + i didn't find the chemistry as good as people say it to be

this is one of the age gap dramas where their age gap is so evident that it makes me uncomfortable.....the same thing i felt while watching " i hear you " but i watched it fully bc i was really interested in the plot rather than the main lead's romance but that's not the case here the main thing abt this drama is the romance and i personally didn't feel any chemistry between them + made me feel uncomfortable... so i dropped it
