a realistic take on troupy contemporary cdramas i really like how the characters are written none of them feel like they are unreal or anything and the chemistry is DEFINITELY there.....i was totally giggling and smiling everytime they were together on screen
Don't get the hate tbh(disliking & actual criticism is different) I actually quite enjoyed it but yes it was kind of draggy at some parts I will admit that
Li xun is definitely one of the best written male lead in modern cdramas. Even though he does fit in the typical "handsome genius cold" troupe he actually has a personality. He has proper reasons behind why he is such a menace lmao. And he does only care about the fl (another typical troupe) but there's a limit to it, it's not like other dramas where the ml's behavior towards others vs the fl has a sky and earth difference. The fl is also well written she's is like your typical bubbly personality fl but she actually has self respect & knows how to not make you feel 2nd hand embarrassment every 10 secs 💀..... Anyway she's also one of the examples of how to show fl pursing the ml without being all weird *cough* go go squid *cough*.... All being said this drama really knew how to make typical troupes actually enjoyable. I am very much looking forward to next eps
was enjoying it but after they get together it kind of got REALLY boring i think i will drop it 😕 and honestly i don't find ANY side character enjoyable everyone is quite annoying to some extend the ml & fl had some good chemistry that's i kept watching but the show is way too dragy towards the end i can't complete it
oh my god i can't get past 3 episodes like lord knows what is wrong with the female lead 💀 it's not even like i hate the fl chases ml first troupe it's just the fl is way toooo superficial like you saw a random dude coming to play games overnight at an internet cafe and BOOM started acting like it's the love of your life lmfao..... the 2nd hand embarrassment and cringe is too much
Overall it was an interesting drama it kept me hooked 8/10 from me....but it does fall short in terms of acting and dialogues..... My main issue with the drama is the acting of the main leads especially the male lead. They just couldn't properly deliver the heavy and complex emotions their roles needed, the male lead did a lot of overacting that made me cringe sometimes BUT i absolutely loved the acting of the younger actors of the leads they nailed it especially the scene of "that night" they did it so well tbh it was kind of disappointing to go from their acting skills to the acting skills of the actual leads
Now this is probably a stretch lmao but i felt like this drama overused a lot of its dialogues to the point that it kind of lost its weight at the ending, like i wasn't feeling the climax scene because everything they were saying in there was repeated like a thousand times already so it just felt mehh
It was on my plan to watch list for a while and I finally gave it a go..... it's kind of a half-half drama for me idk never felt this much mixed feelings about a drama in a while lmao
There are some parts of the drama that were very well executed and there were some very emotional realistic scenes as well, I really enjoyed those. Towards the end it did felt kind of dragged out like I am not asking for dramatic breakups and stuff lmao but the main topics that were shown later in the drama could have been done in lesser episodes. I feel like this would've been a much better drama if it had 30 eps.... Overall not a bad drama at all 8/10 imo, I was struggling to find a cdrama to watch recently like 2022 cdramas all have been quite mehh for me wasn't able to finish most of them so this was a very nice watch actually.
i personally like the "noona" genre dramas cause it kind of helps normalizing older women dating younger men, but what i dislike about these dramas is most of them have the FL & ML know each other since childhood and they have this big sister little brother dynamic going on...... that's just makes the whole relationship very weird to me like in this drama it's very severe since they r literally step siblings and there was i need romance 3 where the FL LITERALLY RAISED HIM SINCE HE WAS A DAY OLD 💀 there's a lot of examples of this type of situation.... i think the best take on this genre was by Find Yourself many might disagree but IMO it was the most realistic & not weird
i wonder if shi mok ever had any feelings towards eun soo....eun soo definitely had feelings towards him. like his first severe pain attack happens when eun soo dies and also his first rage moment in years also happens at her funeral also in season 2 he got kind of sad when thinking about how eun soo would be if she was alive rn.... shi mok & yeo jin definitely have nothing going on between them just 2 good friends and i honestly really liked that they kept it that way even in S2 and of course S2 overall was a very well written drama but i did have to be in a particular mood to watch it i still like S1 more ig
most mystery/thriller genre kdrama always disappoint me towards the end cause they can't give the whole story a proper and reasonable ending BUT..... stranger is totally different from those dramas i absolutely loved it the ending was definitely done well i will certainly watch the 2nd season too
rewatching this and they were so cute in high school 😭😭 literally one of the cutest drama couple ever.... not a big fan of the college part but the high school part is so well done i love everything about the first half
started out strong but the ending was underwhelming.....and i personally enjoyed the judge's (the main villain) character the most. the fl's character started out as strong but honestly even if she had 0 screen time in the 2nd half of the drama it wouldn't have made any difference to the plot. idk if it's the bad direction or bad acting but most of the ml's "rage" scenes r just cringe i love the actor's other works but the acting in some of the scenes of this drama was just off. and i wont even talk about the many extremely illogical decisions made by literally everyone in the drama
even though it's not one of my favorite drama but i loved the female lead's character probably one of my most favorite fl in dramas....a very responsible, caring ,intelligent and nice character
this could have easily be a 30 episode drama and it would have been quite a decent one. the plot and characters were nice but the pacing was just way too slow i was extremely bored around 20-30 eps
Now this is probably a stretch lmao but i felt like this drama overused a lot of its dialogues to the point that it kind of lost its weight at the ending, like i wasn't feeling the climax scene because everything they were saying in there was repeated like a thousand times already so it just felt mehh
