I watched it because Yang Zi commented how she is most herself with her character in this drama...and i now understand why

After reading the novel, i am so excited to see this in a drama...i took the liberty to put faces in the characters although it's hard at first to visualize Yang Zi as Cheng Yao and have doubts for the CP with Vengo, it actually grew on me...i just really wish this will be shoot soon

she has been the best FL in Cdrama history so far...calm and collected, smart not whiny, goal getter, passionate and caring, not to mention pretty and rich...damn TXL is so lucky to have her, Although, she'll have it easier with Guang Yao, i guess she needed a drama in her life to spice things up

As a tribute to her birthday, and because of my frustration of not being able to see any of her recent dramas, I am making a list of my most favorite Yang Zi dramas, from the one I am most obsessed with to the least...

1. Go go squid! ( Especially ep.30, this is my first Yang Zi drama)
2. Battle of Changsha ( I have never laughed and cried so much with her dramas but this one)
3. Ashes of Love ( this is classic, it's the drama that introduced me to xianxia and this type of costume dramas)
4. Legend of the Dragon Pearl ( even it's long, it wasnt borinv)
5. The Destiny of White Snake
6 My Mowgli Boy ( not so popular but I like her fashion style here)

Wow. This is just straight out of dream, so to speak. I am reading the midnight library right now and to watch this at the same time is making me crazy. (in an enlightening, sort of eureka moment kind of way) what if we could really live our dreams in a literal way. Sometimes, we are so immersed in our dreams that we somehow feel that we are in it and living it for real.

the novel is so simple it's borderline boring, im afraid that in the drama they drag down the exgf plot and also might create more conflict with the mother not liking Gu Wei..the novel is actually so easy, simple and light hearted...

The amount of time I search for yang zi online everyday is no longer healthy. When will we see any new dramas from her? Ive seen her drama's on repeat already , Battle of Changsha, GGS and AoL. Why are there new dramas being release at Tencent that are even more recently filmed but The Oath of Love is 2 years done and still delayed???? Would they release it on her birthday? 🤪🤪

Why do I feel like most of Yang Zis dramas are going theough a sieve, its like shes so unlucky that her dramas are always at risk with censorship...is it because shes so popular?

I can definitely see Xu kai as Jing, he has always been typecasted as a one woman type of ML, he would be like Mo Qing his character from The Legends, silently protecting the FL. Although, i felt like Jing is tbe most boring of the 3 MLs in Xiao Yaos harem..:) I find it hard to imagine Yang Zi as Xiao Yao, but Im excited to see how she will do it justice. It would have been nice to have seen her first in the Golden Hairpin since I think we can have a reference of her character as Wen Xiao Liu from there. Btw, I am also on Xiang Liu's ship...
