She had already felt some type of way towards Qiu Yan without understanding the situation, so that incident made it worse.

When people used to say lazy writers think a woman or girl needs to be raped to have character development, I didn't come across it myself but they literally did this with Qiu Min. Why? Couldn't the death of her mother shake her up or something? I'm very unhappy with the way things have panned out. Now she has to resort to trickery to survive. I don't blame her at all but this is a cop out by the writers.
