With Yan looking to upgrade and Tian stuck in the kitchen how will the trio ever reunite? The key to understanding Yan is when he was kidnapped as a child. He tried to help the others but they turned on him and as soon as he got away his father started to train him. In his head it reinforced that he is the only person he can rely on and the reason they kidnapped him is because he wasn't strong enough. Barking at him won't make him forget that. I think his interactions with Tian has changed him a lot and will change him even more in the future. Compare now to the first episode he didn't want anything to do with him now they are best buds. The chef, chief commander and squad leader are also acting as good father figures.

The relationship between Yan and the Chef is literally chef's kiss. So cool of him to visit him after leaving. I wonder will Tian ever join them or is he stuck in the kitchen?

When will Tian get to be with them again? He must be lonely all by himself in the kitchen squad.

Looking back the disaster in episode 7-8 brought Yan and Xiao Yun together again. Yan was icing him out and seemed like he forgot their friendship. Tian is such a good character too, I cried when I saw how distressed he was about losing Yan and of course minutes later in the hospital they made me laugh again. Something about bromance just hits harder than romance. 🥰

Yes it's funny and well balanced. Usually I get bored with all the training and no real action but we've gotten two so far and we are only at episode 7.

Episode 7 left us on a cliff hanger, poor Yan and Tian. It was really touching when Tian tried to get pass the rubble.
