I mean here in the US yes I agree with you as the age of consent is either 18 or 21 I forget. But remember this takes place in Japan. Japan is a different country from the US and has its own laws. In Japan the age of consent is 16 as of 2026. It used to be 13 in the past but they recently raised it to 16. So as long as Toru is 16 or older he is not considered to be a minor in Japan. Here in the US it is considered unacceptable bc we consider those under 18 or 21 as minors. But that is not the case in Japan.

Actually I'd love to see Gun's character end up with someone outside of his ship in a series... like if this actually started off as OffGunDew and became DewGun that would be insane. I think it would be mindblowing, something that no one ever saw coming.
Well, I guess we'll see what becomes the truth when it airs. Because until it airs you don't know for sure either. Did you know Kidnap was also a bromance in the beginning but it got turned into a BL because of fan support? Everyone was telling everyone else it wasn't a BL but a bromance and insisting that it was a bromance. When it came out it was a BL and proved all the fans who insisted it was a bromance wrong. So Mr Kill could also turn out that way too. You don't know until it airs.
Also there is no need to be snippy about it, it just makes you come off as nasty. Stating your opinion is fine you're entitled to that but there is no need to put down others who didn't know any better and say they are lying when they weren't. Lies mean you are saying something you know isn't true. I was not aware that it was not true so I was not telling lies and you saying nasty things with a negative attitude is not very nice.
You could have just written the first sentence above and added a sorry in the beginning like this: Sorry, your thoughts and hopes are not official information. That would have been polite and understanding and showing that you are a nice human being who understands people might think things are real based off what they read. You could have simply corrected me nicely and not lashed out at me and spread lies yourself about me. Since I was not lying when I wrote it.

I thought the director when asked about this (because fans were mad that it was bromance and not BL) he specifically stated that nothing is for certain and that it could become a BL later on if things changed. There's also news that the director has said it has always been a BL but they just never explicitly stated this?

It was officially confirmed that it has been turned into an actual BL now. It started as bromance but when enough fans banded together wanting DewTee ship, they decided to make it an actual BL now.
OMG. DewTee is a new official BL ship pairing of 2026. GMMTV confirmed this according to google AI and a few other sources that I read about. Their series Mr. Kill (one of the ones that I'm most looking forward to this year) started out as being bromance/straight when announced in the lineup but after fans wished desperately for it to be a BL and not a bromance, they changed things and officially confirmed it's an actual BL series now with them presenting the new official BL ship pairing of DewTee. Also, they have stated that when a trailer comes out it's not 100% done. It's just what they have in mind and they see how fans react to it and depending on fan reaction they go ahead with it or they change it slightly before they start filming. So until they get started filming, the direction of the series can change at any point in time. I also read somewhere that the director said something about how creating this series was actually a direct response to people wanting DewTee to be a BL pairing.
Est accidentally spoiled that Rome will appear in the last episode. So expect him to make an appearance. <3 Probably not a long one but at least it's an appearance!
