The book is worse and had a male pregnancy plot device. I am not kidding. I almost threw my iPad.
So I did spend the time to read it and you where right. It is worse LOL. like it was like reading full on porn - there was hardly any story and the pregnancy that was crazy! i hope they keep it in the series tho otherwise there isnt going to be much happening.
In all honesty, I think my expectations where to high for this one (i have not read the book yet and I think I will since i'm guessing it will be better and maybe it will explain the hostility) but the first episode was a disaster.
I ended up skipping a lot of the episode because the dialog was not very strong (especially the scene in the bar between the two ML and Ajo - it was boring), the editing was questionable and the foundation of the story was not there - the hostility kinda came out of nowhere.
So far if I have to compare it to KinnPorsche (to be fair I think it would be very difficult to out do KinnPorche, it was actually well done) or even Unforgotten Night which has a similar plot - I would say that this one started out on the back foot. I really hope that things get better and that the chemistry between the leads get more in sync.
I'll give it one more episode and if that one is the same as the first episode it will be going to the dropped list.
I was really looking forward to the kdrama as it has Jang Il Woo in it and so far it is a decent start with just a few pacing and editing issues that could have been a bit smoother. There were a few moments in the first two episodes that felt a bit cliche.
the FL character is a bit annoying because she doesn't seem to use her brain and she has some serious stalker vibes that the ML kinda just swept under the rug as if it was a none issue (like when she blacked mailed him this would have been a great counter point to get out of it with his lawyer being present) at all and the ML character seems to get caught really easily for someone that has been living a double live.
Not sure in what direction this is all going and I like the fact that there is a murder mystery involved (my guess would be that it is the Vice Chairman that killed his mom as a way to get the company - money is always the cause).
Overall i'm excited for the next episodes to come out.
This is great! I really like this story so far. I think it is a self sacrificing story - I'm thinking that Ji Woo has cancer (in the one flashback in episode 1 there was the scene where they spoke about his wrist and telling him to take care) so that is what I am thinking and he 'broke up' with Seo Jun so that he doesn't become a burden to him even thought he clearly still loves him (we know from season 1 that Ji Woo tries to solve everything himself - rely on himself which is part of his family background - so very much inline with his character so far)
At least that is my thought process at this point (Could totally be wrong). I also think the girl that is working as the Director is his sister (again at the beginning of episode 2 - she said she doesn't like free money - exactly the same think Ji Woo said in season 1) - I just really hope this isn't going to turn into some love triangle. That would be to much for me to handle. lol.
Overall, really solid start to season 2 and the editing and pacing is on point - I specifically like the flashbacks since I think that is how we get an insight into their lives and everything leading up to the 'break up'.
