I loved this drama a lot. Everything was perfect for me, I don't care if you think otherwise. The ML and FL looks so good together, both pretty and handsome. I watched it in one sitting. I wish they had another drama together :((

I love all the characters and their acting was on point. I’m just a little disappointed with the overall story line. There was only a bit of romance and it was mostly angst. I finished it because Zhao Lusi’s in it but if she wasn’t, I would’ve dropped it a long time ago.

I always love seeing the Emperor and Consort Yue’s interactions or scenes coz of their little banter, and I can see their closeness and how they’re so comfortable with each other. Though, I feel so bad for Empress Xuan, I love her sm as well and I get sad when she looks at His Majesty and Consort Yue talking to each other. I love both Consort Yue and the Empress so much😭🫶🏻 I dunno why but in every drama I watch, I always lean on women more, I like women more. If I don’t like the fl, I won’t watch it. Women are just so amazing, they deserve everything. I aspire to become Consort Yue when I get older.

I know y’all hate Yuan Shen but I’m just relieved that he’s there to protect Niaoniao while LBY is away. I’m actually kinda glad that she has 3 people who likes her coz I always see on other dramas, it’s always the ml who has a lot of girls who likes them and that’s kinda unfair for me… that’s just me. I’m just glad that CSS has at least one of them to support her when LBY is away or when others are bullying her.

I agree with you, I also want to think he also did it more for CSS than his revenge, but I can't shake the feeling that his grudge is a little more than his love for CSS, for now, at least. I believe he will love CSS more in the future, but now, he's still thinking about the revenge. I also just watched the latest episodes, so I'll stick with mine :))

I see we were all shocked(?) or a little sad to find out that Ling Buyi did the ‘revenge’ against the 8 officials mainly to get the scrolls that will help him avenge Gu City and little because of CSS. I was so happy when he was punishing the officials and I was laughing so much coz Shen Yuan was also there but didn’t do anything coz he also thought LBY was doing it all for CSS. I mean I’m happy that he’s avenging his city, his family and all that because that incident ruined him, ruined them, his family, and I won’t disregard the fact that he also did it for CSS, hence killing two birds with one stone. But, we all really thought that it was purely for CSS, I’m wondering what would CSS feel if she finds out about everything.

I don’t usually like watching previews coz I don’t wanna get spoiled, I only watched the preview once, which is for EP37 coz the ending of EP36 made me feel uneasy, but watching the preview for EP37 made me feel more uneasy😭 I will never watch previews again lol.

He did it because of revenge against Marquis Yue(?) and for Gu City. CSS thought it was because of that, but I think he did that mostly to steal the scrolls in the Censorate and a little bit to avenge CSS. I'm looking forward at what CSS would feel when she finds out that everything LBY did for her, he's also doing for the revenge. Killing two birds with one stone.

Ep37's preview was so misleading coz I thought the empress got mad at CSS. They really know how to do their previews and it'll definitely make you look forward to the next upcoming episodes. Everything about this drama is so good. There might be some (or a lot) of red flags but it is still good nevertheless. Zhao Lusi is always so beautiful in every episode, I always find myself admiring her, especially because she's my favorite actress, but everyone else are also so beautiful and handsome. I always like seeing the Empress and Consort Yue. Everyone's acting is so good, they all look so good, their costumes are so good, it's just... perfect. This drama made me feel whole. I feel like this drama is the definition of "it hurts but it hurts so good" because they'll give us a scene where it hurts or sad or will make us angry and then they'll show us a heart warming seen later. I'm sorry for my English but I hope I expressed how I feel for this drama.

That's why I'm not watching any other dramas while I'm waiting for the updates of LLTG coz LLTG made my standard so high I know I'll hate the other dramas if I try watching them.

I agree with everything you said. Even though I was jumping and everything because of the sweet scenes, I also noticed every red flag. They ganged up on her, just to make CSS confess her feelings for LBY, they forced it out of her. Also the very end, where they were talking about the revenge to Marquis Yue (I'm not sure if it's that but), I was quite shocked that Zisheng let himself get punished to get those scrolls and to make the officials feel at ease. I mean, I know they also did it to make Niaoniao confess, but at Zisheng's point of view, it made me feel like it was more for the revenge and less because of Niaoniao.
