Daeho is a magical place that doesn't exist in our world. AoS is not Sageuk, this is not South Korea. The production team usually goes for unusual costumes, props, and make-up to emphasize the show is high fantasy. Since the global audience may not be familiar with Korean traditional costumes, confusion may arise. Regarding the acting, Yul's character is supposed to be expressionless (we have direct lines talking about his lack of expression), which makes Yul a difficult character to play. I don't know what to say about Danggu, he's supposed to be a darling/sunshine kind of character. I think he did fine. Hong sisters' humor is very theatrical, sometimes tending to low humor, not everyone appreciates that. The story is simple but unpredictable. I don't know how far you went, but I dare you to predict how the story ends. I have no idea, even though I'm a devoted fan. Anyway, you don't have to force yourself to watch something that's not your cup of tea. The high rating is due to the excellency in production/direction(awarded)/actors(awarded)/engaging script. Have a good one!
They released a different poster when part 1 entered its final arc, I believe they will release something before part 2 starts. Maybe they'll choose some lowkey promo posters, but they need to promote part 2 haha

I don't take any arguments here on this page personally and you should do the same. Everyone ignored your barely-there mention of Kim dojoo because you focused a whole paragraph on Jaewook. I still don't know what you wanted to accomplish with your post. Jaewook is type-casted? (though he played a variety of characters ranging from 18 to 30 y/o) Insoo is versatile compared to the rest of the cast of AoS? (though Insoo only played high school boys and Danggu). Do you find it odd that people don't agree with you?
