Not all idol actors are bad tho example Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo they both portrayed the characters really well but yes hope they choose the actors well cuz a lot of ppl have a high expectation from tgcf

Im thinking of Darren Chen as Xie Lian and Dylan Wang as Hua Cheng, Darren Chen has that gentle pretty easygoing look on him so he really suits Xie Lian’s character & Dylan has that playful devil smirk which kinda suits Hua Cheng’s role idk if his acting’s good or not tho haven’t seen any of his drama yet but Darren Chen’s acting in sleuth of ming dynasty was superbb

Petition should be made for Luhan to play Xie Lian
woah now that you’ve said it, Luhan really does fit Xie Lian’s character! But I feel like the chance of him being casted is pretty low tho hopefully they’ll cast him or at least s1 with gentle features like him
