Most confusing storyline I have ever witnessed. Finished it and still have NO clue what the story was about. The BL was good (especially for a Chinese film) but not understanding the storyline kinda messed with the atmosphere in those scenes.
If you like BL, skip to the BL parts. If you are indifferent if there is a kissing scene and what not, skip the whole movie itself. Save yourself 1 hour of your life

Essentially the contract stated that Hong Seok will do what Ms. Cha said (go to Vietnam and stay as a debt collector) no matter if Shi On wins or losses the audition.
Also, mom is alive and in the states with the new husband. New husband doesn't like Shi On so Mom cut him out of her life to make her husband happy (that's what I interpreted from the flashback and the dropped phone calls/ ignored calls and texts)
