I will not watch this yet and see what trajectory it will go. There are hundreds of actual good LGBT series nowadays that supports the community so Chinese censored gay romance is a hard pass for me now.
Maybe it's because I am a gay man, but I don't mind the forwardness of Haram. It's actually kinda interesting to me cause I think a person like Haram would rarely exist in a homophobic society especially Asia. I won't mind getting courted by a good looking man as I don't have the balls for it to do it myself lol.
Please watch this. You won't regret it as a BL fan. I understand why you wouldn't watch it cause gender swaps are done so terribly but this is done so well. It's not genderswap. It's rather soul swapping. Since everyone falls in love regardless of their gender, the body swapping doesn't really matter in the show. I was also iffy about watching this but I AM SO GLAD I DID. The best thing about this drama is the character development of everyone and what it tries to teach. This drama really makes you think what is exactly 'sexuality' and 'love'. I wish I could rewatch this with a blank mind again. Each episodes get better as it goes by.

for me I didn't like the first 2 episodes actually I started liking the show after episode 2 where it started to pick up and the episodes keep getting better I was also like you where school themed shows don't attract me so what I do sometimes is watch a series alongside with a YouTube reactor and that kind of helps me to get through it but if you have a friend who watches Thai bls then you can also do that.
