My advice for people interested in watching this. Don't watch it now.
I am really liking this show. I don't mind slow burns but its really short(20 mins) so its almost agonysing to wait a whole week for it as its you know its slow burn so nothing that drastic happens for you to obssess over the week while you wait. This is a good show for binging and I wished I did that instead. But, I am already hooked so imma have to suffer with the consequences.
I think the editing notice makes sense. The last episodes were edited weirdly and there were many complains about it here as well like how it jumps scenes abruptly without explanation and leading to that scene. Like, the first scene is they are in bed but what led to that lol. It was messy so I am glad and hoping they are fixing those.
How did y’all get past the scene in ep 1 where Chi Cheng leaves that poor guy to be Sexually assaulted by 4…
I was also caught off guard by that. But, I have decided to take this series as a series as I kept watching it. Almost all of the characters here are very flawed and personally I wouldn't date any of them. As you let that go, you start to enjoy the series. Don't get me wrong. There are probably a ton of people who thinks both the leads are perfect and probably thinks they are dateable in their mind. But, hey people are attracted to worst things I have seen, like serial killers in a series.
OMG if you see the stills(the bus one) and bts videos(recently released) they removed so many of the scenes between Heesu and Seungwon unnecessarily the fuck
like why are they acting like china? censoring the aired drama but showing the queer content from their bts clips there is no censoring rule like that in south korea.....yall are not in a dictatorship
Am I the only one who likes this show? This is the reality in Korea. Homosexual couples don't show at all or keep…
I mean all of the romance could have happened in secret. They didn't need to date publicly. This realistic argument doesnt hold much when if we actually look at the school system in South Korea, 99% of them has no time to date and aren't actually dating in school especially publicly. It's exaggarated in straight romance as well.
Also, Chanyoung and Jiyu as a character felt so unfinished as well. So, what was the point of making them as main charcaters? I don't know what was going in that writing room but they were NOT cooking. They were just boiling water.
This did NOT needed 10 long episodes just for a confession at the end. When I watched the first two episodes, I was under the assumption that they were adapting the whole manhwa. Hence, the long episodes.
I liked episode 1 & 2 but 3 & 4 were kinda lackluster. And, it's not cause I found Jihun or Bawoo or anyone annoying. I...get it actually. It's never easy when there is friendship involved especially friendship since kindergaten.
I just think the plot is a bit all over the place. I just dont feel there is continuity. They didn't discuss why Bawoo was close to Jihoon's lips. I feel like they ignore a lot of small things in between.
(adding on to what you said) and even if you didn't read the original source material (like me), you can definitely…
There is defintely pacing issues here. When the pacing in a self-proclaimed romance drama is as slow as this series, k-dramas usually introduce other interesting plot lines to keep viewers entertained. Be it thriller or a fantasy sub-plot between the leads to solve. Here, it is Chanyoung's tennis which is NOT a good and engaging sub-plot. So, the series feels even more draggy. That's what I felt watching from Ep 1 to Ep6. And, thats 60% of the show done.
I can go on about some of the other issues I have with this drama but one of the main issues that I have is that they are telling the story like they have all the time in the world but they don't unfortunately. I just know they are gonna wrap it all up in the last episodes of the series. And, to me, I dont care about endgame. I already know he is gonna end up with Seungwon. This kind of endgame only works when there are multiple options for the lead. I wanted to see all the nitty and gritty of their relationship too. For me, the slow burn should have started from the episode 3-4 after the introductory epsisodes and not 7-8 in a 10-episodes series and when its about to end. Alteast thats what I am hoping from 7 and 8.
I think some people need to understand that this is an adaptation. And with that comes, fans of the original work. A good adaptation is keeping both source material readers and new people satisfied. This series is obviously struggling to do both. Hence, all these criticism. One cannot ride the success of something already established and be free from the criticism when they mess it up. Be it the characters or the story. That being said, I haven't watched the new episodes as I am waiting for the finale to binge it together.
I don’t even know if I say something they will say we keep complaining and whining but what is going on 😭
meh. who cares? I will say whatever I think about any drama that I am currently watching. Be it postive or negative. Thats what this comment section exist for. Few individuals don't get to decide whose opinions matter more than the others.
This drama is frustating. I feel like we are just back to square one and nothing that happened in Ep 5 was used to move forward to Ep 6. It is getting TOO draggy.
Hmmm it seems that by focussing more on Chanyoung than the webtoon (and by giving him more of a story arc) the…
I am a firm believer of SM intervening in this drama and demanding more importance for the SM actor's character which is Chanyoung. SM always ruin dramas so I will not be surprised if they did do that. Don't come at me SM stans! I like Riize and Red velvet.
I totally understand people's criticism and I have ton of cricitism for the recent episodes myself. Am I annoyed that they could have done a way better job at developing queer characters by focusing on Heesu and Seungwon both as a pair and individually? Yes. Like, when I think how much they could have developed Heesu and Seungwon if they remained the only pair and as the only lead roles just like in the manhwa, I get so annoyed at the potential that was ruined. I wanted to see full episodes of their realtionship dynamics after dating and how they go through it and not just them ending up with each other at the end. But, I don't hate this show. Infact, nothing would make me happier than the production team proving me wrong and end up making this a decent drama.
I feel like nothing is really happenning. If I skip all 4 episodes and depending on what they will show on Episode 5 and just read the synopsis and start from Ep 5, I wont be missing anything. So, it seems like a waste of episodes which could have done more stuff.
anyways they need to focus on heesu and seungwon way more aint nobody watching this for why and how CY and JY developed feelings for each either when you try to cater to both sides, you end up catering to none of the parties and end up flopping
dont think thats CY cause then why would be say "will you go out with me?" to heesu if he knows and doesn't want…
well they seem to be straying off from the source so idk and in the reaction video of the actors the actor playing chanyoung said the character CY doesn't know about heesu's feeling

the one episode per week is so hard to do
at first i was like 'whats seobin doing on a japanese bl?"
