I actually like Lee Dae (brother in law) as a character the most, since he's the most consistent. Perhaps, like…
BIL is ignoring her wishes for him to leave her be and assuming he must protect when she says she is happy with her life. It’s all about him not her.

Why would she not assume him? He is guy who who not a eunuch or monk and she found Porn in the room he sleeps in.

He did try to leave. She promptly got captured by slave hunters.

When has she blamed others? She did tell BW he is the one who got her into this during that one argument but when and who else?

DY is causing her trouble right now though. He needs to respect her wishes and leave her TF alone.

I can see your point but again She was raised as a filial Joseon daughter and Princess. Her choices were non existent about the marriage plans. It’s realistic .

He told her to Quit going to the tavern but she still went and She told him no about stopping her writing. He said
go at the prison and she stayed. I think she respects and understands him and try’s to accommodate but is neither scared of nor totally dependent on him.

May I ask what you mean by responsibility? He stopped stealing and works a menial job to support them. Seems to me they both take blame and responsibility for the the situation like mature people

She has resolved her own story. She does need rescuing . She is content to live as commoner and common wife and mother. That’s it. She will now do what has to protect her her new life and family.

Buts it’s not really her story. The story is about BW and his redemption at its core. Actions of corrupt men stole his family and his nobility from him and made him an angry “dead. man” with no future.

Lol. How do people still like Dae Yeop? It's clear that he's a selfish, overly idealistic, and naive character.…
Very few people still seem sympathetic to BIL that I see. Those that do have issues with BW... because he is rough, hot tempered, not the best communicator and has made some bad choices he is apparently “Toxic” and a terrible person. They want a 21st century woke guy it seems lol. They don’t see a guy with a really good heart who who truly loves and lives to protect his family and his Princess.

DY is an obsessed selfish pretty rich boy who doesn’t know what real live is yet.

Why? I guess you mean in episode 10...What was he supposed to do? If he didn't bring in the BW then the princess…
Bull. He is pompous infatuated selfish boy with a grudge. Once he made the connection He could have gone to them and they could have figured out a way to hide them somewhere until the heat died down Once her books stopped circulating.

Plus she never asked for him to protect her. Just the opposite. She told him go away way more than once and “divorced him” who is he to interfere and ignore her ?

I am not sure what exactly you want if her. She is realistic for time period and the way she was raised. When she can she does help... from learning to do dishes to using her bow in a fight. She tried to keep them afloat with her writing and drawing skills. Judging from the preview for the next episode she will be pro active in saving. BW.

Factually speaking her being there is constantly putting them all in danger and that’s a fact. So has offered to leave many times. Its also fact BW got them into all this by stealing her in the first place . S there is blame to go around.

Her reality is The life she is living now though poor is providing her with actual happiness and freedom she has never had or could have had. She was not sad in the least about being taken :) nothing to empathize about here. She has wanted to be with him and adores his child from almost the first moment. BW OTOH was forced into this kind of life, saw most of his family murdered in front of him as a child by evil men.

In his present state BW is the son of a slave women or very low in the caste system at best. Options for legal work enough to support a family as the series has shown are nil. He hated Bossam work but that money would support them for a good while. I will add Bossam was often times a mutual consented thing between the man and women.

He knows that she loves the boy as a son by now none of them Are going to let Cha dol
Starve or abandon him.

I respect that . But you have to remember he has been terribly traumatized by life as well and more importantly he had his child to worry about First and foremost. If had been discovered with her he would have been killed and his boy left an orphan with no one. What would you do?
But he has a good heart as has been shown over and over.

Not every woman has to be a warrior or politician ! She came up with scam plot to get money, then rescued BW and got the action going for the doctor to treat those people. And from the preview she plans to rescue BW.

This set in 16th century Korea . It’s realistic that BW is rough and alpha . But when goes to far he always admits and apologizes.

That's what I was thinking when I watched episode 10. She is really strong FL. She is not agressive but active,…
Easily? They are living as Joseon peasants. Nothing about that life is easy . Desperate times call for desperate measure.

If Ba woo got caught stealing he would certainly be imprisoned and probably tortured . He could easily have dues then leaving a fatherless child and all of them unsupported. And she would have have even more reason to write
the books. She has no other practical skills and a woman could only work at one other job...

Also.CSI Joseon Korea does not exist and these books are being sold in-bookstores with clearly many writers. Authorities are far more likely to go after the really explicit stuff she refused to write.

They Didn’t need money? I think it’s plain they needed more than the pittance BW was bringing in. That’s why she felt compelled to help in the only way she knew how. The smuggling situation only aggravated the problem. The outrageous ideas “dead” Princess writing Joseon Play Boy While living in run down cottage would not even cross their minds. BIL has no place interfering

I disagree .. The common people don’t know anything about the Princess, much less get drawing style the only one who could have possibly traced anything back to her is BIL and she had no way to know or to think he would be so dickish and vengeful . Plush it was Lady Jo and Chun bei in public hawking the books not her.

Fact is they needed money to survive and BW was not providing . She did.

So are we gonna just gloss over the fact that the princess is illustrating for PlayBoy Joseon are what ?XD
But she really did not in the end. She just wrote a slightly suggestive love story. It was not Porn. She can’t write what she dosen’t. Know anything about.
On Bossam: Steal the Fate May 27, 2021
While she is quiet and ladylike and proper Soo Kyung is also intelligent and determined and knows her own mind. She does not have to beat people up or be shrill or be angry and vengeful in the way that seems to pass for a strong female in American media.

Not really. She is very clear she does not love the second lead. She wants him to go live his life and leave her alone to be with Ba woo.

Have you seen how her in laws treated her? She was not treated like a princess. Her parents kinda neglected her.…
It’s called being intelligent and realistic. She is in a very humble position and has to rely on others now for everything
