I finally watched this series since we are 60% done. It is a very slow drama. Almost too slow I might say.
Heesu is an interesting character for sure. His family and their dynamic is also very entertaining. So, his Seungwon with his two moms and how he has accepted them. Chanyoung has appeared almost as much as Heesu and yet he has remained useless throughout 60% of the drama. He has not contributed even one bit to Heesu or his journey. Even Jiyu has done more for Heesu. So, I don't understand the need for his character. If you replace him with just about any other guy, the story will still move forward. His character is just shallow and has no depth.
No, they don’t really engage with labels, it’s more on the lines of “he likes guys or she likes girls”.
So, this is still kinda like a straight-washed Korean BL(which I don't mind) but its not an LGBT+ series like "Love in the Big City" which was unapologetically gay and dealt with queer topics. Now, I am not understanding the excuse of adding the straight couple since some people were saying it was added for realism.

I see. I thought people said they are going for realism by adding the straight couple but they act like you are not different to like the same gender? no questioning? do they at least deal upon that when they showed Heesu liking Chanyoung? Or, Is it shown exactly like a guy liking a girl?
I have a question. I haven't watched the show yet cause I am waiting for reviews and more episodes to come out. Have they said the word 'gay' yet or are they dodging around the word??
wow, I finally understood why Myungha told Yeonwoo to not come close to him and follow him after the fight with Sangwon cause Yeonwoo's emotions were in the negative 99 and if he comes close to Myungha, a debuff would happen and might hurt Yeonwoo in some sort of way. I was like is Myungha mad at him during my first watch but now I get it. This show just keeps getting better the more you watch it and understand all those small gestures that one might have missed in their first watch.
Honestly the amount of times I have replayed the scene where hantae carries baram to the bed while they are both sort of teasing each other is endless i have been replaying that scene everyday at least 3-4 times since the series dropped i have a disease
This drama is great for people who wants to watch something after a hard long day at work. It's sweet, aesthetically pleasing and simple with ton of fan service. I'm loving it.
The series got so much better after they started focusing on Jimmy and Sea. Their chemistry is off the charts. Episode 1 was the weakest episode and Episode 4 is the strongest one so far.
The new Korean president is apparently all about Anti-Feminism and Anti-Lgbtq+ please I hope my fear doesn't come…
I do get that people are worried and for good reason. But, it’s not comparable to china. South Korea is democratic. The president just cannot ban lgbt like China. There will be ton of process and most likely will not pass through. The past president was also anti-lgbt so it’s not like this is something different.
I think waiting 2 years for season 2 is actually a blessing in disguise. They can start preparing now how they will execute the story. They can give it more budget and more runtime. The dialogues can be more thought out. The actors and director will be more experienced than they are now.
Is Viki even safe now? I won’t be surprised if people can also get our card information from Viki servers easily. Never seen episodes of not only one but 2-3 shows getting leaked from an OTT before.
You know what would be genius if past hayeon is actually indeed the sister and the guhimo misread the signal cause she is incompetent for comedic relief and the lead still fell for the guy even tho it’s not the past hayeon. I don’t think it will go that way but it would have been nice.
It had a lot more potential than this. The ending climax was very boring. It's very simple, almost too simple. It was also repetitive. Personally, I didn't felt any love coming from either side of the main characters till the very end. Like? Yes. Love, No. It honestly pains me to say this cause I really liked the actors but if this was a hetero drama, it would have been one of the most dullest drama ever. It's charm is that it is BL and thats why people are overlooking the monotonous storytelling. And, I want BL drama stories to be good even if it was a hetero drama hypothetically. But, overall an enjoyable piece if you are not hoping for much and want to watch this just for laughs, visual and cuteness. I did REALLY enjoyed some parts of it. Hoping for more depth in stories in future Japanese BL dramas where the leads could also have a happy ending. Why can't we have the best of both worlds?
Honestly I can't help but to be that friend that thinks her bestfriend(in this case, Shinwoo) deserves someone better. But, if that mofo wants to be with him then....okay.
What an amazing week of episodes.Like everyone else, I agree ShinTae is def endgame and I’m so happy. I’m…
Yeah, I am hoping Daon would show Shinwoo the same loyalty and selflessness Shinwoo showed him. Otherwise, I will be disappointed in Daon. If Taekyung still likes him, ShinTae won't work out anyways. Let's see if Daon is right about Shinwoo being a nicer person than him.
