I'm really loving this drama but I wish writers would come up with better second leads. I really dislike how the second lead doesn't care about the female lead's own feelings and opinions and even though she has repeatedly shown him or even clearly told him that she only sees him as a friend, he keeps insisting on forcing his feelings on her and meddling in her private business. This is such toxic and disrespectful behavior, I really wish they would write better second leads. If they insist on love triangles then they should at least write more interesting dynamics between the characters. This is the only thing that annoys me right now (plus the political stuff but I guess they always *have* to include that kind of stuff...)

I agree, I felt like the second lead liked her from the moment he met her despite not having any real reason to like her that much, just that cliché "first love" trope. I also don't think the main leads liking each other is rushed, as the king hasn't even fully admitted to himself that he likes her yet and even for her it took a few episodes to grow feelings.

that's funny, cause I actually feel like the lead couple has amazing chemistry and the second lead none at all. I guess everyone has different perspectives

help what shows can i watch after LBFAD while i wait for forbidden love? Morally gray ML and/or really nice love story in the style of LBFAD..anyone have any recommendations? :((( (i already watched Legends and Ancient Love Poetry which i really liked)

Does the FL improve over time? I find her in the first two episodes very childish and some cringe behavior, does this get different or is her personality like that throughout the whole drama?

I also wondered exactly why the psychologist was able to immediately time travel, it seemed like he was a pro at this, even though it did also seem like it was the first time he heard about this possibility of time travel and he seemed surprised by the walkman. But he had a special talent for doing it, it seems. Maybe because of his vicious mind..?

I noticed I forgot about Chen Yun Ru also existing "twice" at the same time when LZW met with her as a kid, and the psychologist too with his child self, so this was something the writers simply decided could happen in the time travel scheme. I forgot it wasn't just with LZW that it happened

Also...the only other thing that doesn't make sense is for LZW to be able to "split" his soul and be inside his own body and also inside WQS at the same time. When HYX was in CYR's body, the soul was drifting somewhere, that made sense. But how would a soul be living inside two bodies at the exact same time? This was I think the only thing that gave me pause, even more than the two year wait that I mentioned above...

I feel like this is the only plothole bc he couldn't know that this was the right moment to give her the walkman because he himself hadn't lived the future yet. So what stopped him from giving her the walkman right away after the plane crash...

I didn't agree with the ending - cause I hate for a young person to throw away their happiness just to satisfy a toxic family (just bc they're family doesn't mean you have to put them first! especially if they never cared about you) - I really hoped Hwan and Ye Ji would be able to finally put themselves first and find their happiness, but I guess that would go against the whole Confucian way of Korean society...In any case, I could understand Ye Ji when she said she would always think of his brother if she ended up with him. I still think though that she would soon forget Jin and would see Hwan only for him. Too bad they didn't end up together but maybe they did in the future lol
Another bad thing about the drama was how ableist it was at times. That made me uncomfortable :(

I don't agree at all with people writing here that the drama is trash! Just bc the topic of the younger brother being in love with his brothers wife feels uncomfortable doesn't necessarily make the whole drama trash. A bit of spoiler but it's the very beginning so not really: the younger brother actually meets the woman first and falls for her first. The story is an interesting depiction of real human emotions and how flawed people deal with life and difficult circumstances. People are complicated and I think this drama showcased it very well. I also loved some of the lines, they reminded me of Wuthering Heights. It's essentially a story about two soulmates who met at the wrong time in the wrong way, so it's sad but well done. Will add what I think about the ending and other things under spoiler below but I really recommend this drama to people who are into bittersweet, more mature stories.
