Well i read the last two chapters, as per the book doc has euthanised at least three ppl including captains mom. Only after receiving their consent which he received while their were in their right mind. But he is not the killer we are after. Its the director.
Though I agree everyone deserves to decide their time to leave this earh and actions of Doc, i am also concerned over his mental health. This could easily go out of hand. Unfortunately he could never go to therapy coz he could never reveal this secret.

I sincerely hope they wouldn't now start to act as a couple in the movies and dramas in the future. Its gonna make it more artificial and made up.
