Have you ever considered that Hira may be neurodivergent. So the change you may want is different from the change…
All this issues you have with Hira will likely be addressed in the movie. So truthfully I should have led off with that. This season is a middle ground, not the end. So you can decide whether the change in Hira is good enough. I am truthfully ok with Hira as he is, if he changes he changes, if he doesn't he doesn't. Maybe I am defensive about him because I want his change to be because he want to change (maybe he is comfortable with who he is as a person, who knows) not because society expects him to. Also the word "change" annoys me for different personal and mental reasons. It is like saying someone want someone to be "normal".

Please don't put words in my mouth. I said that you expectations of how he will act in a relationship after many years will be different because he is neurodivergent. I never said it's good or bad, just different. You may not like it and that's OK. Also love is a very complex thing, some people love some people but don't like them or are annoyed being around them. So you can believe hira is just obsessed with Kiyoki and I can be believe differently.
There is a debate on whether Hira is autistic or not. And one thing for certain is that Hira is a neurodivergent person. It explains his quirk, his attitude to life, his behavior around people and his relationship with his love ones. When people asks why is Hira the way he is after years or why does he respond to things differently from what is social acceptable or expected, they think of it through a neurotypical lens. This isn't just his stagger and social anxiety, it goes beyond that. If you see him for the neurodivergent person he is, it can better help you understanding of him and also prevent the pitfall of your criticism becoming ableist without you consciously knowing. Even through his quirks, he deserves love ❤️ and thankfully Kiyoki knows this.
How bad is this? That quack Avenue X won't even be bothered to mention this drama in her videos.
Her current review of the series is right, but there are several things to consider. One as an international fan what she notices will not necessarily affect our viewing of the show since we don't speak Chinese and don't fully know their custom. Two the acting of the one of the main actor I see is more neurodiveregent which she didn't consider at all. Three she is her own person with her own interests, views and taste and you may find you don't always align with it. Fourth sometimes you may vibe with a show if you try to watch it. I like it enough but I am very biased just like she will be.
