A perfect little bite sized character study
Me and LITC go way back. This drama was always dear to my heart and I gave it a 9.5 originally because I felt something was missing to make it a full 10. Over the years I ended up rewatching it twice and I've come to the conclusion that it deserves the extra 0.5.The characters are flawed. They have their own set of ideas. Their own frame in which they navigate the world. Personally I think that is what makes them so enjoyable to watch. I can cry with them, but due to the humor sprinkled throughout I can also laugh with them and have fond memories of watching their stories. The acting here is so good that even the light-hearted scenes feel so vivid and real (halli galli game night scene stands out)
The relationships are real. They do not fit the Kdrama romance mold and that's what makes it refreshing. It's best not to go into the drama if you're craving that perfect romance that we all know about. When you feel that you want to experience a story of friendship, identity, and a search of belonging that can effortlessly switch between being light-hearted and funny to making your heart ache, you'll know it's the right time. Come back to find this drama only then.
(make sure to let the ending credits roll before skipping to the next episode as you might get a reward from time to time)
